Nice work Chumley.  The colour scheme is great.  One gripe though; I really dislike the base as is.  Actually its more the green colour used on the base that I dislike.

Hmm that would be an idea which I will ponder DK, thanks for the contribution.  I shall try ebay before too to see what happens there.

Looks nice, are u going to add interior  detail  to the hab block ?
eBay have some nice things such as beds to fire places. I find people do some nice looking terrain but fall to the wayside when it comes to adding a few things like furniture to give it the narrative of being a living and breathing city mainly because of time or money restrictions

Yes I know there are some interior items on ebay but as you said money is the problem.  I am doing this for my club and hope to keep costs low.  However I like the idea and agree with you totally, so you never know really what might happen.....

Nice work on the home made facades!  :eusa_clap: Are you casting those in plaster or resin or what?

I am casting these in clear resin currently but since I offered these up and no one seemed interested over at the Trading Post section, I am now considering casting them out of plaster to reduce the price cost as maybe that might encourage interest.  I would like some feedback on this however.

Looking good! :eusa_clap: :::cheers:::

Thanks GP

Hey guys I am currently deeply immersed into 40k city scape building for city fights and maybe the occasional Necromunda game.  I plan to have whole streets built up this way as to make it look like a semi industrial/ housing district.  Take a look at what I am doing with some facades I am casting and also the addition of some rubble and debris.  I hit them with a grey primer (as previously they were green) to get them ready for some paint so they are still in their WIP phase.

First housing unit:

Second housing unit:

I will later on add some floors from foam core so models can have access to various levels too.  Feedback is appreciated as usual.  Should you be interested in getting hold of any of these facades please visit the trading post section, we might be able to work out a deal

Does it have to have the army's colours on it?  I mean can't you paint it in metallics instead and bypass the white and yellow problem?  Just my 2cents here so feel free to disregard the advice   You have a nice and clean painting style though.  Very nice work overall.

Steveb nice work here.....regarding the spear, I am sure you do have some extra empire spear/halberd to put instead of the original one no?

13
In the pike men for sure.  You have nice terrain as well as models Boreas.  Its always a pleasure to see what you come up with every time.

I am in as always Soth

Philly what do you think of the veins sticking out on his chest and arm?  I asked some time ago on here as to how I could make them pop out colour wise from the rest of the body, but alas I got no definitive replies.

I am trying to start painting my Mordheim witch hunters warband and I decided to start with a hired blade lol......This can either be my ogre or a pit fighter, I am not sure which yet.

Meet little Hans the mauler:

And here is a size comparison with a normal sized empire hero.

While watching these pics I figured that I forgot to paint up his nipples.  I think I might do them later.  Let me know what you think of the paint job.

Nice one Philly.  i like the color combo too.  You make white sound easy to do but somehow I can't quite believe its so easy  :|

Looks amazing! Where's the dragon head from originally?
I'm guessing a dragon....

:icon_eek: Really??? I was thinking it came from some fluffy teddy bear  :icon_lol:

In reply to Gankom's question I think the head comes from some Darkelf dragon.

Really more than one Philly  :icon_lol: as it were these warriors like to show off that they are not tainted by chaos as they have no mutations and the length they have is all natural  :closed-eyes:

Here's to you GamesPoet.  Crappy pics of the Prince and his retinue.  Meh no matter how I take the pics they always come out rubbish.  Those natives in the background are not as rubbishly painted and smudged at all and the prince is a lot less bright in colours especially flesh tones but hey these are the best pics out of a whole batch I could get.  Outside it was overcast so that did not help too  :icon_rolleyes:

We are still here awaiting the continuation of your work Marcus......still your fans and still referring to this blog every now and again even though there were no updates of late
