Yep, when I do the tally all year long, I'm bond to have a few errors from time to time.  I'll re-tally a bit later today, thanks! :icon_cool:

Now that the other colors have been added, they are starting to look more towards the color of human skin.  And not complaining.

Yep, these Birdmen showed up in at least one other thread somewhere along the way. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

There are threads here on W-E that have pictures of some of his miniatures, and the fluff he provided with some of them was quite unique at times.

It'd be great to have a thread where pictures of units are provided with the fluff for them along side.  Although this could be quite the project.

I might be willing to make a trip to have him relate the stories, and write it all down for him, if that makes things easier.

If you find any, post it!  And if not, maybe write new fluff from what you can recall.  Like a say a piece of aftermath fluff where a character recalls the info from the old, working it into the new, or some such.

Another good song choice!

Yep, there seems to be little much available from the campaign any longer.  Even the Animosity stuff is mostly gone.

All we can rely on are players who were involved and saved their own personal fluff, which I have with perhaps 80% of mine.  Believe I have copies of my personal T&G fluff pieces, probably Marienburg pieces, and most of my fluff from A3 thru A6 (Araby, Cathay, Estalia, Northern Wastes).

Ah, the days of "The Marienburg Crisis" and "Treachery & Greed" ... like fine wine and roses ...  I can't help posting a link to this one ...

Being on the Cerulean League, I played a character named Ludovico S'forza, son of Bartolomeo who died fighting a bunch of Wissenlander troops in front of the walls of Marienburg (an actual table top battle played with Wissenlander at the time).  Ludovico inherits command of his father's mercenary army from Tobaro, and by the end of the T&G campaign, the Tobaroan Doge Giacomo slips deeper into his madness, and Ludovico orders a mortar barrage that opens the attack on his home city.  However, Tobaro does not fall.

Here is a thread with some of my fluff from the various campaigns ...

(Hopefully I'll dig out more and add to that thread eventually.)

And here are a pair of threads from the Marienburg and T&G times ...

By the way, I dream of doing some table top games between Tilean and Estalian forces or maybe even have different Tilean armies battling it out at some point, but alas more figures to paint first!

Woah!  This is unbelieveable.  Well done is an understatement.

25Jun2018

At long last here is the Reiksguard. Iíve sculpted the sashes, Iíve painted the same tired horses over and over, Iíve pulled every last bit from the box to give them a sliver of individuality. My inner man separated from my inner boy and here we are: Iíve completed the unit of 45.

Long term readers may remember that this is actually the SECOND Reiksguard unit for the battle of Volganof is crazy like that. So, here is what I hope is Lord Mortkins view right as things go south for him. Each unit clocks in at 1245 pointsÖbefore characters.

A gathering of standard bearers. Towards the end I was running out of ideas how to paint the same banner in the same colors. Can you tell I had my fill?

Like every little gamer I dream of one day playing the grandest battles of them all at the Gates of Kislev. Now, at least I have one unit of the appropriate size.

Lastly, a big thank you to the kind folks who have sent me bits (scabbards, pennants, shields etc.) over the years to kit out the Reiksguard units. I hope you feel Iíve put your gifts to good use.

The counter is ticking down. The official Volganof counter:
932/969

Amazing.  The number, the creativity, the overview, thank you!

And to know there is more lurking in all those cabinets, yowza.

I picked up Le Morte D'Arthur. Holy shit there are a lot of neighboring kings when Arthur is crowned. :-o

Wish there was a map. I cannot find a decent one from google.
Curious as to which edition :icon_question:

Also, at some point it could be good to read a historical account of AElfred the Great.

I enjoyed Alfred the Great: The Man Who Made England by Justin Pollard

Ah!  The power of being young, at least for a little bit.

Going after his goals, and finding out what his limits are.  Good lesson.

The problem with kids coming into the hobby, even that costs an adult money. :icon_wink:

Welcome back! :::cheers:::

Not sure, but contemplating that I'll paint them differently than the traditional colors and use them for units in my own fluff, yet we'll see.
