Hey guys sorry for the thread necromancy  :blush:

Anyways I haven't had too much time available to paint this last year too much work too little time, but it was just Easter where I live and I decided to paint a present for my gf and I hoped to get some feedback. I have to admit I am very happy with the result :biggriin: :biggriin:

And although it is not strictly empire I would love to hear what you guys think  :::cheers:::

still need to do the tails of the horses and the shield of the guy with the black cross but all in all pretty happy with the result!! tell me what you think :)

Indeed the metallic knights (at least mine  :blush:) looked way too flat for my taste as you can see in the first page of the thread...
But i like to hope that my painting has improved a lot since then and i blame it on watching the work of you guys here and the comments i received!

Had thought of adding some blue in as well but wasn't sure... now that i got another vote towards it i will certainly give it a go!

also i agree the balance is off a bit... lets hope i find the camera and take some good pics of these poor old knights....

but gf phone has a better than mine... also i did manage to find the time to paint another knight...

hopefully this will let you guys get a better look and comment... nmm is hard for me i think but i like the result way more than metalic knights....

heya guys looooooooooooong time no update

life has been been reaaaaly busy lately and im lucky if i get one hour a week to paint... plus i started off a little 40k side project...

now a ghost of things to come... sorry for the bad quality of the pic... its from my phone... will get some better ones once i find the camera :icon_redface:



plz let me know what you think... my first attempt at nmm so all tips and help is really needed!! :::cheers:::

thank for all the comments guys, it really means a lot to me to hear kind words about my painting from the ppl in this forum. Seeing your guys work is what made me take up the brush after almost a year and i got to say i m glad i did  :::cheers:::

hopefully will get back to you with a revamp of my halberd guys  :unsure:

last update on the poor priest and then ill leave him to finally rest. Took your guys advice and tried to do some light effects from the hammer on him... hope they turned out alright. comments and tips are mandantory!









Edit :  updated with some better photos was sunny yesterday  :smile2:

thanks guys! really put an effort to it!
@Erik, stinky wish u guys had said something before i painted it  :icon_sad: now im afraid i cant change the head as a) i dont have the tools drills etc and b) too afraid i will ruin the model.
@mr chumley wish its not my painting messing the model and not the other way around, tbh i kinda liked the sculpt but got to admit im a sucker for all warrior priest models  :blush:

Question:
does the hammer look like it is glowing-casting a spell, cause my gf doesn't think so and has made me doubt it! :unsure:

cheers for the good words! update time my finished (for now) mounted Warrior Priest. Camera died will try to find whats wrong and post more pics later. Tried to do a glowing hammer, first time attempt so be gentle  :blush: as allways comments, critisism and tips needed badly!

thnx for the kind words guys means a lot to hear good things from you.... as for the highlight totally on spot comment!! u got me getting a bit lazy at the hand! :smile2:

as for making them smoother in general, any tips? maybe do the layers before the paint dries so that it blends better? cheers again  :::cheers:::

some work in progress of a new WP im working on, love the model has a very dynamic feeling to it and i hope i will do it justice with my painting...
only bad thing was that it had some serious mold lines on the left side of its face  :icon_sad:




also almost finished redoing my swordsmen together with the WP with the finished checker board, they need a little bit more love but i hope they are improved from before



as always critisism and tips (especially tips  :happy: ) is more then welcome!
