Thanks for your very thorough guide Morgue, i'm sure it will be helpful.
I'm going to a hobby store tomorrow where i'm sure they will be more than happy to answer minor questions :)

If everything goes like planned i'll propably also post some results of my new (and hopefully better painted) miniatures.

I was kinda of thinking approaching like this guy (he preshades):

But is that possible with Empire miniatures, since orcs and Empire soldiers are so vastly different. I don't mind my soldiers having a griddy look tho  :icon_biggrin:

Will definately try the blue on blue thing, i'm going to a hobby store soon since i need new glue too :)
Would it still be a good idea to wash the miniature with a dark colour like Badab Black or Devlan Mud before applying the paint / wash?

Hi there fellow Empire enthusiasts!

I have recently started getting into Warhammer again and i really need to improve my painting. I have tried using washes again but i dont think it's working out all that well. What i'm looking to do is painting my miniatures primarily with washes, just to try something new...
I use citadel paint & brushes + a white undercoat.

I will be uploading a number of Handgunner pictures so you can see my petty painting skills, and please give me all the critique that you feel is right.

360 Handgunner with white undercoat & Badab Black wash.

360 Handgunner with white undercoat, Badab Black wash & normal Citadel colours.

360 Handgunner finished with another layer of Badab Black wash.

Thanks i n advance :engel:
