Ok, some nice phrases I found from the book:
Candida Pro Causa Ense Candido (with pure weapons for a pure cause)
Dulce Est Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori (so sweet and just to die for your country)
Furor Arma Ministrat (fury finds the weapons)
Ultima Ratio Regum (final method of the kings, said to be carved on the French cannons by Richelieu)
Hmm, this should probably be Ultima Ratio Imperum or something in this case... Emperor is Imperator or Princeps but I have no idea what the correct form is here.
Heh, if I ever get around to making my own steam tank, I'm SO going to add this text on it

Perhaps one of these will be of use to someone

Yes, that's the original from the book by Vegetius but the more commonly used form is 'Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum' which also rolls of the tongue a little better.
The knights in my army are from the Order of the Divine Sword so I've used 'Gladius Divinus' in their banner.
Hmm, I have a book in shelf that should have some suitable phrases... (And no, i've never really studied latin)

Hi everyone!
I've been reading the forum for several months and finally decided to dive in
My friend managed to lure me into Warhammer last fall. So far I've only played one game against her (and got promptly massacred by her VC army) but atleast my army is looking a lot more painted already...
For me the choice of Empire was easy. I wanted to play the brave defenders, the last human line against the hordes of evil. And Bretonnia looked... well, boring by comparison.
