Interesting Point: Many of the football fans (and football is the game where you use your FEET!) support teams not where they live, at least I have an excuse for supporting Chelsea. (Look on my location)

How is that an excuse? I support Newcastle United proudly, and I live on the other side of the world!

Im Sam from Tasmania, Australia. Note that this is not the same as Tanzania, Africa, which many people seem to think  :?.

I have (suprise suprise) an Orc and Goblin list, of which I kill things a lot. Im good mates with Reynard_of_Bogenhafen and although I didnt take an army to the tournament last year due to it being unpainted, I still attended and helped support my mates Night Goblin tactics, as we didnt really get much sleep the night before.

I am a barman by proffesion, and nerd by nature :P. I am a regular on many various forums across the internets, but my most frequented site would be Da-Warpath where I am a mod and head-up many projects, including being very active with DWQ and basically writing the Armybooks. I am also a mod on various other forums, including www.teamdrinkbeer.com, where, well, we love beer.

I am 18, 19 this year, and have a full Wolf Rider list. My interests in music vary greatly, but I stick by my motto that good bands last. Favourite bands include Pink Floyd, Guns 'N Roses, Led Zeppelin, Machinae Supremacy and many, many others. If its not top40, country or nu-metal, then I pretty much like it. :-D

Yet you support the Yankees?  :?

So my name's Jorgen, I'm 16 from Houston, Texas (south-central part of the country, big state, can't miss it)

So far, my only Warhammer army, fantasy or 40k is the proud men of the Empire. I've been toying with Guardsmen for a long time, but decided that i lack the funds (not to mention motivation) for such an endeavour.

In a couple of years, I'll be going off to college (MIT, I pray), so dunno if I'll stick with the hobby.

The only sport I follow very seriously is baseball, where my favourite team is the Astros (of course), with the Red Sox coming in second. I would probably support the Texans (American football) if they didn't suck so much (last place this past season with a grand total of 3 wins)
yep.

I do support the Yankees.  They are a great team they have alot of good players just they tend to choke here and there unfortunatly they are crucial here and theres.  But they have the most world series wins.  in fact at the cooperstown baseball hall of fame they have this locker room that they set up that each locker has some team memorabelia and on the glass that protects said memorabelia from people they have all the years each team has one the world series.  The Yankees require two lockers to fit their greatness.  No other team has that yet and when another team achieves that it still has to beat the number of world series victories.

F**k off, the Tazzy Devil I hate to bits. He looks nothing like a Tasmanian Devil for a start, and seems to get all internationals (especially Americans for some reason) thinking that we have a pack of feral animals twirling around our bush ripping everything to threads! NO!

My avatar is based on my general, and thus my army, like a lot of people have. I have another avatar on the other non-warhammer forums I have, which is me dressed as a pirate, but thats a different story. :P

For the record, Taz is a ridulous character created by Americans that does nothing but make Tasmania look like a primative backward place with vicious whirlwind-creating fury squigs spinning around the place, which 'aint true by any stretch of the imagination and quite honeslty pisses me off to no end.

Sorry man it was a joke.  I didn't think you'd take any offense to it.  Again just thought it would be funny kind of like a person from graceland with an Elvis avatar or a person from Liverpool with a Beetles avatar.

I'm Ben living in Kent South-East of London.
In to Warhammer/GW stuff for 17ish years now. There are very few armies that I have not started to collect over the years but now I'm settled on Empire, Dwarfs and Chaos (with Nurgle bias).

I have a background in science but turned my back on this to teach. My 3 year old daughter will eventually take over the dwarf army.

Sports: Support Spurs (they are a North London team if anyone from US is interested) and I do actually have family links to the area. They currently have a great Dutch manager called Martin Jol. He is a COMPLETE LEGEND (especially as he looks very much like the cartoon ogre Shrek). Spurs are currently battling it out with Arsenal (football's equivalent of the Slayer army list) for a place in Europe.

Aw shucks, not even on a fresh page and already a new flame war is brewing.

I suggest we leave the politics out guys, unless it's related to Elector Counts.

Tchah, don't worry Gutsy, if I wasn't used to being picked on for being Republican, I would not have said anything, believe me, I won't start a flame war.

Thou shalt not even begin to think of discussing politics on these boards!

Neither of you really have, yet, so this is your stern preventive warning.

Now wash your clothes and bathe your body and fast for four days, that you may be cleansed.

To clarify I'm neutral when it comes to Republican/ Democrats, not any sort of political comment there.

- it was meant as alight hearted aside referring more the the mention of 'guns and explosions'! - It was quite a bitter post for this particular thread!

I figure you were in a bad mood when you posted Helblaster_of_Sigmar, no offense was intended.

Yeah I was. I was, once more, questioning my hobby faith, and whether or not to continue it. Not to mention that my school life just got a whole lot worse with the coming of the 4th quarter, as it always does!

Though this might be a little late, I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Garth and I am from the Vancouver (not Canada), Washington/Portland, Oregon area of the U.S. though I am currently stationed in Florida until the summer.

I am a sergeant in the U.S. Army and I just finished a tour in the Middle East and Africa in January, very happy to be back to table-top only war.

I am 26 and started Warhammer in 1994, but was out of it for a few years in the late 90s/early 2000s. Started up Empire army a couple years ago. Love it. I am more into modeling than actually battling, but I do field my army when I need to.

Favorite unit in the Empire= Knights. I don't know why, I just love them.

Seb from Namur, Belgium.

I've been playing wfb for.. 8 years now, I naturally started with the empire and moved on to VC's and dwarves later - still Empire remains my favorite army. I have very small 40k forces in Space wolves and nids.

The old, 5th ed Reiksguard on foot are the minis that made me start collecting. Oh, and the old knights panther too!

David - Baton Rouge, Louisiana (US)

Started as Bretonnia but switched to Empire because i was tired of the one diminsional cavalry charge and the fluff is much better.

White Wolves take the cake for the best unit.

I'm in college at LSU and down south we treat our football like a religion so my favorite football team would have to be the Tigers.  I'm also obsessed with European football because i grew up playing soccer.  I love Liverpool with all of my heart as if I lived there and Steven Gerrard is my hero (F Everton!).
Record since switching to Empire
Beastmen:3-1
Vampire Counts:1-0
Dark Elves:0-1
