Well as far as I know there is not a great deal written. Really the only sources come from a single page in the Empire Heraldry book and what can be gleaned from the novel Call to Arms. Generally, the Hochland military is divided into various garrisons assigned to various strong points along the three major roads the cross the province. These garrisons send out regular patrols to maintain the safety of the roads. In addition the garrisons tend to be a mix of regiments some serving in a regular detachment capacity, this differs from normal since most other Imperial provinces attach detachments on an ad hoc basis rather then a set regimentation. Mortars are noted as the preferential type of artillery since they are more useful in Hochlands woods than straight firing great cannons.

Hope this is of some help.
