I like the idea of allowing a captain to skirmish/scout, but then the rules for huntsmen would need to be tweeked a little to allow this to work in the right way.
Me and Wissenlander had babies!

not together.

finding photographic evidense that Wiss smiles is going to be hard...

Another one might be to allow a Captain to be upgraded to an Outrider Captain, making one unit of Outriders or Pistoliers move to core but not count as core.

You got to be S*!?ing me Outriders as core that's just silliness.

For some odd reason the only army I struggle against is O&G(I can hear you giggling  :icon_redface:).

I've only come close to losing vs O&G once and I've played against them many time vs many people, mostly because I know the army and animosity helps to.

If you have troubles vs a particular army best thing to do if you can is play with it for a while and learn what it can do.

Huntsmen need to be tweeked until they have very sore nipples.  I mean a scouting unit of 10 is just silly. I don't mind spending the 100pts, but 10 guys are very hard to hide when you're using them to march block and stay out of charge arcs.

Hochland sniper scouts would be sick :D

So, no hard feelings then Mathi?  My border prince enforcers do NOT need an inquisition from a vengeful vampire hunter to add to their woes after the dreadful Orc and Goblin wars they've endured.
The first school of thought is that the ragged-assed Stirlanders, not having two coppers to rub together, nicked it when an elven envoy was passing through the area and had hopped off it to take a pee behind a tree

Eek, a long and cold silence...this does not look good for Toro_Blanco.

Expect the Inquisition at any moment.

At least it'll keep the boredom of where you live down.  :engel:

It might divert his inquisition if I claimed I was putting together Chaos models at the moment.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

Interesting concept for the Heroes, although I find myself in the Engineer should be a simple unit upgrade camp. I'm not sure the 2 for 1 wouldn't be hugely abused with batteries of 8 Great Cannons showing up at tournaments.

Strengthening our Troop choice would be the real way to go as far as bumping them in the competitive bit. I'm a real fan of introducing the Pike as a Spearmen upgrade. Anything matter af fact to do away with making Swordsmen the default infantry troop choice. Maybe introducing heavy armor for the Halberdiermen?

Back to the heroes for a second. Why in gods name is the Engineer a worst shot than the Captain, and why can my Handgunner sergeant have a Hochland Longrifle - but not my Captain or General? Brace/Repeater Pistols? etc.

PS I really liked the ideal of Hochland Longrifle Huntsmen

I have used the 40k idea in my Fan DoW list (WIP) of having halfling snipers as a rare unit.
