Cool stuff! I like that there are a number of different machines and that they are more DaVinci and less "steampunk." I think that shows that the interest of the modelers & Empire players is a little different than the way GW has actually gone with their own. (*cough*robohorse*cough*)

Good job everyone.  :eusa_clap:

I only know for certain who the last entry is (no, not the rocket man, the helicopter) as the style is unmistakable (at least to me). I am PRETTY sure I know who the Flying boat and Bird-Giant are, but could be wrong.

I am not going to vote, because I want to vote for 6 entries, so instead I am just going to list here who I think should win:
- Bird-Giant. What a hilarious concept, and brilliant execution
- Captain on Pegasus. Despite Archaon being a common conversion base, it still looks great. And check out that MO!
- Karl Franz on Griffon. Beautiful model, great greenstuff work, MUCH better than the current model, just great.
- General on Griffon. That tower would have taken a while to construct, and it must be quite a heavy model. Greenstuff work is well done, and the finish product is impressive
- Karl Franz on Dragon. Beautifully done. Love the throne, looks great.
- Spiral Helicopter. Considering the entire thing was scratch built, it looks flawless.

That said, all the other entries were really good too, and I love the ideas, creativity and everything else that went into this process.

And by a landslide....

although his early entry, and thus high position in the display order, helps a bit there...

Quite seriously, congratulations to ALL that entered, your work is fantastic in its own right for each and every entry.

Congratulations Steveb.  :::cheers:::.  Fantastic entries, I like the ship too a lot.

Tanks for all votes on my contribution. I'm very happy with the shared 5th place for the unpainted part.
But to win the side competition for painted entries was unexpected, and I'm very glad.  My favourite was the helicopter-thing.

The idea to converting Archaon is not brilliant like a flying giant or so, but it's something I wanted to do for a long time now.
It is very much about taking away, rather than adding details. Never the less it's a lot of work, especially on the cloak.

congratulations and thanks again

Wait- I can't see who did what.

In any case, congrats to fbjorn and steveb. I loved teh Archaon paintjob and voted for that one. That one and the Da Vinci one. Is that one by king, btw?

Interesting, I only guessed which one's were steveb's work.

Congrats to steveb! :::cheers:::

I actually voted for the Michalangelo looking flying machine by Jak.  That's not to say steveb's stuff wasn't great and I agganized over not voting for the Giant.  I also found it interesting to findout that steveb also entered the double flying machine for the Birdmen of Catrazza.  I also wanted to vote for that flying demon creature, just because it was so unusual.

Frankly, these creations were all quite amazing!  To all who particpated ... :::cheers::: :::cheers::: :::cheers:::

the double flying machine was my second piece for entry and was not entirely as I had planned it, I quit working on it when the ship hit me and quit the ship when the giant idea hit me. My first idea was to scratch build the dow flying gargoyle regiment of reknown, I got them built but then decided that I didnt want to do them anymore, using the old meany chaos bodies and harpy wings, just didn't satisfy so I dropped it.  I have gone back and am finishing the double bird piece and I think that when done it will look as good as anything else, I will try to post when done, it is now called the swallow, I think/I hope you will like it when I finish.  I am also going back soon and ppainting my other entries up to a better standard.  Again thanks to all for the competition and thanks for the votes. steveb
