Sisters of Battle tidbitz
« on: March 02, 2012, 11:23:13 AM »
I was in GW Gothenburg and exchanged some words with the staff there, talking about the new LoTR books, getting tips on which one might best suit my ideas. I also asked about Sisters of Battle, knowing at least one of them there is a Sister fan. She a good looking nerd girl, by the way and you can make her open up quite alot when talking Sisters of Battle. I hope some good honest nerd boy gets her love.

Anyway, I talked with the male staffer there yesterday about Sisters and he said he had heard tidbits that infact, they had models and concepts clear! They recently have released an audio book and a pocket Hammer and Anvil, that is a sequel to James Swallows Faith and Fire. And the Sister on the front do look changed. Armour is somewhat less bulky, yet still look professional. The casack/robe is done away with and she have and Dire Avenger style tabard instead. A more lean and feminine look, yet very martial.
As far as he knew, the White Dwarf publication was a move to gain time. They seems to have had plans on releasing them earlier was it not for one thing, namely a problem with getting the hair done properly.  :icon_razz:

Seriously, apparently it is somewhat difficult to make hair look really good, and really good is what they aim for. But they should be working on it. He even mentioned something that maybe in the summer or later this year if thing went well.
Dunno, redshirts you know. But that said, he was vague so he did not actually say it would come, kinda keeping his back free while not leaving down a Sister fan like me. Fact is that I buy his arguement about the hair, silly as it may sound. They do aim high these days, and hair will be a quite important part of the Sisters since they mostly fight bareheaded yet do not cut their haird inch short. GW IS going the extra mile in trying to stay ahead of competitors in quality of details, and this is of course a main arguement as to their pricing. They make you pay but you get real work of art.

I will keep my hopes up but not expect anything much.
Oh, and remember GW made it personal, not you!
