New Steam Tank user here - questions
« on: May 04, 2012, 09:52:08 AM »
So i finally ordered a Steam Tank and was reading over the rules and had two questions about it.

1) Regarding shooting the cannon, is there any way to rotate the Steam Tank in the shooting phase when you fire like with a normal cannon?  If no,  this means that you have to expend a Steam Point and move d6 inches in the movement phase to line up a shot?  I guess it just seemed odd to me there was no way to just rotate the thing in some way without moving forward a random amount.

2) The Steam Gun.  You measure from the actual barrel of the Steam Gun on top right?  Not having put the thing together yet, I assume that means I need to make sure it can rotate.  Is the kit made to do so?

Thanks for any help!

1) No rotation at all indeed. Shoot forwards only.

2) Steam gun rotates. Use the extremity of the gun.

I happen to have the all-metal 6th edition model and I glued it's turret gun on. Being unable to rotate the thing has not meant apocalypse for me, I'm just taking the imaginary length of the gun into any direction I fire. Just saying.

Of course, if you can leave it rotating with the new kit (as Calisson suggests) then please do ; -).
