Fantastic.
You have managed to add just the right amount of color into Ostland scheme to make it stand out while keeping their "serious" look.
Bull banner and writing on it is epic. :)

Beautiful, beautiful halberdiers! The banner is stunning, and the message very cool too!

@BK: Cheers! :)

@Zygmund: Yeah, just had to look up how the imperative mood in Latin works. :D

@Archilector_Malaga: Thanks very much! Most probably the largest unit in the army; glad it's done.

Next step: back to the halflings! Maybe I can find time to get some work done on them this weekend. Fingers crossed! :D Little update on the next Warhammer Renaissance game: I decided to go up to 1500 points rather than 1250; wrote lists, only thing I need to get done for the game is a unit of mounted halfling archers.

Right, the halflings are table-ready. Last update on them has been three weeks ago, so about bloody time, I say! :D

Loads more stuff COULD be done, but oh well. At some point they gotta be done, right. Hope you like them!

@Rowsdower: :D

Well, things are happening!

Had the figures set up for over a week, had a guest, guest asked "What's that then? Good old Warhammer?". Guest returned tonight and we played the first turn. Report to follow soon-ish, I hope. I'm playing Empire.

Played another game of Warhammer Renaissance. Again Dark Elves vs. Empire, upped the points to 1500, added magic and a human opponent!

You can read the battle report here: https://tabletopstories.net/language/en/2025/09/warhammer-renaissance-bigger-and-magic/

Hope you like the article!

Thanks very much; that's very nice to hear. :) Following the battle report a friend of mine (who also does the tech side of tabletopstories) announced interest in a game as well, so we'll see that we put together a 1500pts game soon to which he'll bring his excellent Orcs&Goblins. Not sure yet if I'll go with Empire or Dark Elves, but I very much look forward to seeing his army on the table.
