Really cool paintjob Rufus  8-)

Thanks!

Rufus, I like this!  It is actually neat to see a cannon crew wearing similar clothing.  And I also like how you included some grey and white on the cannon, too.

Thanks! I wanted the cannon to look as Wissenlandy as possible.

They do look awesome, rufus.  Now I can field three cannons in my 2250 army, considering I still had one slot left open.

The cannon and crew are now in the post, and will hopefully reach you soon. If you don't like them, send them back to me! I did quite want to keep them.  :icon_razz:

I've received models from Soth, CannonofDoom, norbert, Obi, steveb and Zandur.  Rufus' should arrive any day now I assume, and everyone else is working diligently I suppose.  Siberius is done I believe, but he will bring the regiment with him when he visits instead of wasting the money on postage.  I think that about covers it all...

Hi Wiss! :icon_biggrin:  I've taken pictures of the minimal greenstuffing on the two plastics, and basecoated the 5 greatswords finally.  I've been experimenting on the five greatswords that I've purchased for myself, and will begin painting your 5 this week as well, and will mail them as soon as they are complete.  When exactly is the Mid-Atlantic Bash so I can get them to you in time :icon_question:

By the way, as mentioned previously, I'm not thrilled with the two hip plates that I made (first effort at anything beyond slight addjustments made with green stuff).  Hopefully they will work with the overall poorer look to that plastic guy anyway.

I also purchased a bubble pack of 3 two handed sword guys that Reaper Miniatures, Inc makes with the idea of sending at least one of them along to you painted in your color scheme.  They look more along the lines of Bretonnians, so I've been considering greenstuffing some puffy sleeves to make them look at least a little bit more like Empire soldiers, although they are also wearing full coverage helmets.  The fluff for them could involve anything from them being mercenaries (since Wissenland is near Bretonnia anyway) or that they are some leader's personal bodyguards.

Not sure I'll get to these in time for mailing the others, and the greenstuffing of puffy sleeves is another new experience anyway, but wanted to let you know what was germinating.  No promises, but since I've begun taking a real liking to these figures, I might get three others, and then if the first three turn out ok, do three for you.

You are very welcome, and it looks like I have a good amount of time to complete before you'll need them. :icon_cool:

Not yet.  I'll see if I can get some up this week, but things aren't looking good as I have a lot of stuff to do before my trip to Canada this weekend.  If I get a chance, though, I'll snap some pics.

Rufas, your cannon crew just arrived in the mail today. They came through just fine except for a tiny bit of damage to the top of the cannon, those handle thingeys broke off, but thats very easily fixed. They look really really sweet. I told Wiss that he'd have to make them his main cannon unit now. I really love how you did the pants on the crew and the white and grey on the cannon itself. 8-)
Goodbye Rufas.

I'll have to talk to my other crews, they might not be so happy with the demotion.

I just glued the handles back on, so they're good to go.  Thanks rufus!

Great, I'm really glad it's arrived relatively intact! I thought I'd packed it well enough to avoid damage, but it doesn't sound too bad.

The Horse dudes are done, Wiss. I tried to take pictures but our camera doesn't have macro mode so the pictures I took were terrible. fi you get the chance could you take some pictures? I would be awfully happy if you did.

I'm sending them back tomorrow!

I'll take some pics when I get them, Offroad.  And I promise I will take some group photos as well.

No worries, rufus.  You packed them well.  Sometimes small bits have a way of breaking off, unfortunately. :|

My army is from Brennenburg.  My own little creation that's on the Upper Reik by several hundred miles.  Didn't know about an invasion of undead.  I've never seen any fluff for that.  I suppose it was in one of the Undead books?

Nice! I'm missing just one thing: The hellblaster that goes with the crew.

I just put in all the stuff that had been painted by others.  The helblaster has already been painted (not by me either  (bought it)), though it's not of the greatest standard, and quite a bland appearance with it being mostly a muted black and the barrels a dark gold metalic color.

I left out my handgunners, two cannons and spear regiment (only 4 left!) since I had already painted those (except for one of the cannons who, of course someone else painted...was a gift over a year ago).

Edit:  I forgot to mention this, but my wife suggested it.  rufus, the cannon you painted will be dubbed...Sparkfire!  I think it's appropriate.
