Hi to everybody.

Someone knows some information on the Scarlet Guard of Stirland?

Thanks

Quote from: Guide to the ProvincesThe Scarlet Guard of Stirland played a decisive role in the battle of Hel Fen. Armed with halberds, the Guard held back a terrible onslaught by the Undead long enough for the Imperial knights to sweep in from the flank. This regiment is still in service today, wearing bright red uniforms rather than the standard green and yellow.

Are not there other information?

I believe that's about all the information there is on them.  There might be more in the book "Empire at War" which details five great battles the Empire has been in, one of which is Hel Fen.  But probably not much more than that.  I've never heard of anything else, personally.

Halberdiers that has been a decisive role in the battle of Hel Fen? Would I see the Greatswords well (obviously with halberds), to represent them, or no?

That would be an interesting way to depict them.  There elite status would work well as greatswords.  It's your army, so whatever you want is your decision.  :::cheers:::

I'm sure there was a thread before where someone was going to use the greatsword rules to depict the Scarlet Guard.

You don't even have to give them halberds - Hel Fenn was a long time ago, after all. The 'modern' guard might be equipped with greatswords.

I'm imagining ricco's republican guard with halberds right now.

Or you can field them as Great Swrods and just equip them model wised with GIANORMOUS halberds . . .  8-)

Well, the standard halberd bits are already abnormally large...

Perhaps just make them a block of regular halberds.  Seems like the color scheme alone will make them different enough from the rest of Stirland's troops to have some people wondering, and admiring. :icon_wink: :icon_cool:

Nooo! You can't have a bunch of bare-footed inbred plebs with skull fetishes represent Stirland's most legendary regiment?

Who says they have money... they just have a reputation.
The greatest form of control which can go on forever until it is exposed is a tyranny you can't see, touch and taste (unlike totalitarian Govts). When you sit in a prison cell but can't see the bars, because people don't rebel against not being free when they think they're are.
