Wow, awesome. I was sceptical about the mixed uniforms but it is already looking great!
I'm also envious of the time and skill you have painting these guys. I'm returning to the hobby after a year absence and I just don't have the time to paint my guys (GCSE Exams and all). And even then I'm only painting 2000 points.
I personally prefer metal miniatures, but it's nice to see plastic can be done this well, as most of the stuff I've got to paint will be plastic
I think the trick (at least it works for me) is to have One colour that is used as an accent across the whole army & using the same wash to finish them all also helps.
