Gold
« on: June 12, 2009, 11:32:45 AM »
Hi guys can anyone help me with achieving a golden colour which is not metallic?  I intend to use this for a Noble's dress but I don't want to use the metallic gold I have.  Can anyone give me hints as to how to achieve a gold colour through example mixing colours or so.  I use Vallejo paints.  Cheers to anyone willing to give me some help

There are plenty of NMM guides out there, there's a good one in the workshop on this site.

Gold is a bit harder to execute, if you take the wrong colours it has a tencency to look like pasta. This one tells you which colours to use, note the avoidance of yellow:

If you are having trouble finding out what Vallejo equivalents to use, it's not really that important as long as you start with a golden brown and gradually go brighter.
