Personal painting blogs
« on: February 20, 2010, 01:22:38 PM »
Hello, as this is the place I guess to mention any ideas, here is mine

I have been going through the PnB section of this forum mostly looking up the personal blogs of people to look at their armies and how they assembled / painted them, but they are spread through 70+ pages in that topic. Might be an idea to create a child thread for those?

Also the PnB section gives a bit of feeling that it is only for painting stuff and not for assembling and I am missing a separate forum for this.

Well just speaking my mind out :)

Do speak your mind, that is what the forum is for after all.

Regarding the blogs : The intention is to house that in the gallery section "The army off...) I suppose we could allow thread-linking from there.

The B&P is intended for all aspects of model-making. Whether those use a brush and palette or not.

We also oppose too many sub-sections. Keeps your eyes and mind more open not to have them.

Since you're ploughing through the B&P in search of blogs anyway, I'd appreciate if you collected the links while you're at it. It's a task I'd have to undertake later this year anyway...

Ha ha, you are one... I bring up a suggestion and then letting me do the work :P

Might be better if we have a thread (might be this one) for everyone to link their own blog for the new section, that way you will know which people are still active with their blogs and who aren't.

So... Now that this project is really taking off I'm confronted with a new problem...
I hit the 20000 character mark in the post  ::heretic:: I needed to scrap the version history (not needed any more anyway) to buy me some character space but that won't hold up long...

Is there a way that for that particular post the limit can be upped? Or that I can have control over the 2nd post (made by Soth)?

Doubt it, but I have an idea ..............

...... watch this space

You now have control of the two first posts.

I found a defunct one of yours close to the OP and merged it in.
You will have to do some copying across / cut and pasting, and maybe spread the contnet better, but you got what you wanted

God I'm good

Just as a matter of interest - why is this thread a sticky?????????
