Oh the humanity! I was just about to clean out my display cases and stupidly I tried to be clever and remove an entire shelf full of miniatures at once. Unfortunately the shelf had other ideas and slipped dropping my entire Empire army one shelf down onto the start of my Goblin army and a load of display minis. I could cry. I now have to spend the day sticking back together broken steam tanks and fixing chipped paint jobs

It could have been worse - you could have lost the lot in a fire, or chewed by a dog.

Men of The Empire are hardy indeed! (sorry, I hate it when people post things like that but it seemed appropriate!  )  Nearly the entire army survived! A few scratches to paint work but nothing that cant be fixed in half an hour. Some Eldar bought it (stupid Elves) and I've a Batman model thats so chipped it will need stripping and repainting but in general the worst that happened to The Empire was a few chips and the loss of a handgunner, may he rest in peace.
Of course, there were a few more serious casualties -




The top one will be easily saved, the bottom I cant be arsed with and I will probably turn into the steam war altar (cheese!) I had planned. I think the moral of this story is that I am an idle dick head and should not be so lazy  Thanks all for your thoughts, they have helped during this hour of darkness!

I feel your pain.  I dropped my army in the middle of the street a few weeks back and I scrambled to get everything gathered.  I haven't even looked at the full carnage yet as I can't really handle it at the moment.

Your army is just superb, we seem to be on the exact same wavelength as my Empire also has lots of Dogs of War in it, including the Hot Pot and funnily enough and will have the same Mordheim Ogre model as a unit filler in my Infantry too! I think they add a lot of character to the army and if done well like yours then they truly stand out.

Unlucky about your army being smashed but I'd really like to see more pictures of the Army and whats going to be in the Army (Say either the Army List or just a total list of models) and also pictures of the Characters.

Bring 'em down here, I'll happily glue them all back together again. Wouldn't be the first time I'd had a major rebuilding task. The journey from England was not kind on some of my little dudes...

think of it as an oppurtunity to; modify/convert/do over better etc., some of my best ideas were the result of a grievious accident that resulted in having spare parts laying about crying out to be used in some manner.  If the conqueror's condition saddens you, you can send the conqueror to the panzer corp repair shop and it can be decked out anew, just like the general Jeb Stuart tank in the old comic books, I promise to provide it with a good home.    steveb
