Names for models.
« on: May 31, 2010, 07:29:54 PM »
Hi all  :-D

1  Two days ago I bought a Stompa ( :icon_mrgreen: ) and today I finished assembling it,  I have a problem with the name I will give to it.       Unstompable,  The hand of gork,  The foot of gork are some that I considere, could you help me find something else ?

2   Also, about my empire general, what is the coolest  name for a man with power?  :icon_confused:

Max Power, of course.

Failing that, any variant of Awesome McCoolname.

Sorry. Fantasy Empire or 40k Empire? I just ask because you mentioned Stompas.

1. Unstompable works.

2. General Stab Von Killemall

Can I hijack your thread and ask for help with names too?  :engel:

I have two vamp heroes called Snively and Van Spellsing, and a lord Vamp called Duke (or Dirk) Anger. A friend suggested if I get a 4th he must be called McBalzak (durhur), any better suggestions?

 :engel:

I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

Hm, there's so much that you just have to pick. I'd recommend going to wikipedia and do a wiki-walk, starting with "Prussia" or "Polish history" (if you're into Ostland). You will get lots of names eventually, which sound more natural than made-up ones.

Once upon a time when I used to play dwarves, I was over at Bugmans brewery.
My Thane with an axe of +1S and ASF.. I named him Barney Rubblecrusher; the thane of pain.

And I believe the term "thane of pain" actually still gets used today.

Some research led to this :

"Staff Sgt. Max Fightmaster, a computer technician, is one of thousands of Army National Guard and Reserve members who could soon be called up to active duty in Iraq."

I've dubbed my BSB Kalle von Braunschweig.  If he can fight half as well as his namesake then I'm going to be just fine.

The name generator is the best route, I found.  Keep hitting the button until you find a name you think sounds cool.

I've devised a crafty Bretonnian lord... for my Bretonnian army.
Alas, I'll probably have to ditch him when the new rule books comes out (in 2000 point games), but he is beautifully potent.

S5, re-roll to hit and wound in challenges, no armour save allowed, re-rollable panic tests (Questing knight).
Sir Harold of Lower Bredaeth, the harbringer of instant death.
Sir H for friends.

Why wouldn't you make him Grail so then he's immune to psych?

my mate does the following:

Always wounds on a 3+, As at penalty of buffed strength
Re-roll to hit and wound in challenges
a buff to his ward save or something (or re-roll armour saves) can't quite remember

combined with his BSB which has WS10 and morning star of fracase in a unit of 7 Knight Errant with errantry banner makes for a nasty combo.

AH, stands to reason then, I'll let this one slide.

You know if you don't accept a challenge then all characters and units in the combat loose the blessing. Our local Bret player had neglected to mention or remember that rule...

Of course I know that. Bret's always challenge. That's what the heroes are for!
