This was my test figure I love how the colors came out. And I have wanted to start this Plog for a while now. The ancient not so dead have returned.

Great idea, and a nice test figure. Although I have some suggestions. The colours are nice, but I really think you should use some highlighting (especially the purple) and more shading, in the face for example to get a little more expression in it and between his fingers to get a bit more definition. Other than that great work and post more pictures.

Very nice SW. The only downside I can think of is the lack of contrast between the black and purple. How about going a shade lighter on the purple (SpaceCowboy's suggestion is a good one). Looking forward to seeing the "Vampire-bane" army in all its glory.

I appretiate the comments the purple itself is actaully well contrasted if seeing the model in real life. the camara doesnt show it well enough. I could try washing it and see how that looks. As for the face and hands I am trying for a youthful look to this one. His mates have various skin tones and washes on them to help make the unit look living. But thanks for the support. Hope to have his mates up with him in a few days.

Hello I need some advice on what people think of these old bretonnian archers being used as old state troop's. This for my sylvania army here are the pictures and they have 10 huntsmen in there ranks too. I have them and thought this be a fine use for them.

Why not. But maybe you can do some headswaps on some of them with empire heads (you should have some spares anyway) and add other empirey bits here and there to make them look more like rural imperials.

Two horses the one does have free handed designs.

My only problem with the archers is the rank and file feel. So I am going to play with them and see how I can fix them. But yes I feel right for the era Its just the rank and file that trips me up.

Well I already got crossbow men in the ranks. That is why I was looking for some archers. The paint I used was gold thanks for the compliments.

Oh the good old plastic bretonnian bowmen, I really hope you can do something nice with them so I can copy it

Have quite a few of the lying around and our colourschemes and armies are quite similar so that would be really nice

I would like peoples thoughts on this knight before I build his buddies. This is my custom version of the white wolves of ulric where they are using ax's instead of hammers. I plan to use the helm with a single plum unless I can come up with a diffrent idea that works, Or perhaps bare heads.

Another treasure out of my bit box. At least some of the parts are a treasure. This gives the look of a older hellblaster which would fit well within my army theme. (speculating of the gunpowder anyways) Ok im kidding myself here it just plain looks cool.

If you have a spare rifle or something (I used a repeated pistol) it can make a great headpiece on the hellblaster. I cut up the metal repeater pistol from the engineer kit and JB-welded it to the top; makes it look like a tracer gun. Even a decorative gryphon or something improves the old beauty a lot.

Ill have to try that out I think something like a tracer or a scope would look good on it.

This is my finished product of the black wolves. Minus there grand master who I cant find now. But I will before too long. Now to get down to some serious painting. Im done assembeling for now. I hope to have a few mini's done this weekend.

This is otto mounted with a diffrent shield we love Otto. Next up is a Duke Konrad.

I was curious what people think of my converted halberds state troops Im poor and doing this a budget army.

I think they are most excellent conversions and are one of my favorite 6th edition units. I have a unit of 36 of them as spears and looking at the two you have there is tempting me to turn them into a halberd horde. But then I will have no spears

Loving it! Those halberd conversions are sweet. I think I like Otto, too...

As to those axe-wielding knights - make a dozen and go chop some vampire face! Whack! (interpretation - I like them a lot)

Ya I had a hundred of the little guys. so now I have 40 spearmen and 30 halberdiers.

I doubt the black wolves will kill many vampires but orcs and beastmen they will slaughter whole tribes of.

This is my concept art for a random banner for sylvania perhaps even the origial drakenhoff banner. Not sure yet it will proble be changed some before we get the idea fully developed
