Battlefield? A place for battle reports.
« on: September 04, 2010, 04:50:48 AM »
Greetings Lords!

I love the site. One thing that I feel is lacking is a special place for Battle reports. Just Battle reports. It is too hard to search through the Elector's Forum to find a few good ones. They also get "buried" quickly- as the Elector's Forum is pretty busy.
With 8th edition here, hopefully alot of Empire Generals will be playing some games. Having a special area for battles might encourage more members to post them.

Your servant,
Duke Igthorn

I think this is a very good idea. With the new edition out id like to read the battle reports of how other empire generals are fairing - do they have the same issues as me? Or what can i learn from them to optimise my gaming?
Everybody loves to read a good battle report, and as the "Duke" points out they get buried quickly in the current place.

I'd like a subforum for the reports and indeed the best ones to be immortalized into the War-room.

I hate people who don't paint their armies, hate them with all my guts. Beats me how they value other things over painting, like eating or brushing teeth.

I second the icon suggestion from Fandir. I'm afraid of reading battle reports with no pictures and an icon would help!

Actually this thread could still be useful, as I have no intention of going back pages and pages to find reports.

If anyone wants to flag up theirs, or someone else's that they think is particularly good then please post a link in here and I or other Mods will move them across.

I think it could be very usefull with a sticky thread in the new sub-forum with Battle Report software, that can make diagrams and other usefull things for a good battle report.

There used to be something, but it seems to have disappeared.

It's far too long - the Reports are good but they need sifting out - the author could make a new thread.  :engel:
