Immovable Object

Im painting these for somebody on the forum, he is a very nice chap with an extrordinary collection of citadel miniatures and is extremely generous to boot. These miniatures are from the original 80's version of The Travelling Players. They cost an absolute bomb on ebay and are pretty rare these days. I have really enjoyed painting them. They reminded me of the Discworld books so I decided to paint them in quite a cartoony style. Just need to base the unbased ones and finish the Juggler and they will be back with you Gareth!

Good job on them.

They are lovely figures too. I hope GW keep releasing stuff like this, like the Burgher & scribe, or dancing bear.

We go to gain a little patch of ground that hath in it no profit but the name.

Fantastic!

I've never seen those before. Are they on solegends.com somewhere?

I'm not sure they are. But I think they're on the Collecting Citadel Miniatuers wiki.

Immovable Object

They certainly are on stuff on legends -

Im sure its not a secret but I'll let him decide that!

You've done a great job on lifting those figures IF.

I wish it were me you were painting them for  :::cheers:::

So it's worth about £5? Or will it end up selling for way more?

Anyway, I love the way you've painted these guys. Especially the hobby-horse knight. And the actor.

Maybe he's worried that someone will track him down and steal his miniatures. A sensible precaution!

No, I reckon it will go for more. I've seen the full set go for a fair bit recently, not sure about the individual miniatures though.

This is a great set. The fellow in the horse outfit is awesome... I'd love to use him as a cav model. ;)

Nice work on them all.  :icon_cool:

really like that fool and actor!

And.... done! (except for the bases)
These were an absolute bugger to paint, I have no idea why they were so hard.

Nice because they don't have details so you must make them for example stripes and they are not so big like now  :engel:

Alas, we'll probably never know.

However if it were me, I'd probably be thinking, 'wow, top job bringing out the character in some of my favorite models, and I cant wait to commission some more painting from IF.'
Cheer up, could be worse.
