Through software updates and the recent server move some of the problems the site has recently been experiencing should be resolved.

To help me find which ones are still affecting users please report any problems you are currently experiencing here.

In your report please be sure to include the following:
Operating System & Version (e.g. Windows 7 SP1)
Browser  & Version (e.g. Firefox 4.0)
A description of the problem and the conditions under which you experience it.
i.e. How often does it happen, on what page/url, does it matter if you are logged in or not, etc.
Any error messages or codes that the site generates.

Please be sure to note if this bug severely limits your ability to use the site and I will prioritize it accordingly.

Note on browsers:
I highly recommend that you use these browser versions or higher:
Internet Explorer 8
Firefox 3.6
Chrome (make sure automatic updates are turned on)
Safari 5

Though I will try to support older browsers I cannot make guarantees and it will be difficult for me to test. It is also a good idea from a security perspective to use the most up to date browser available to you.

I seem to be having a problem with the 'pop up' PM notification

I have the box checked on my PM settings but it does not pop up the  'open in another window' box.

Using IE

Can you check what version of IE it is? Should be able to find out by going to the help menu and then clicking "about".

Also I'm guessing you would have checked this but if you are using a popup/advertisement blocker make you set it to allow this site.

Those were the two problems I was going to raise, so you must be reading my mind (or my old posts  :icon_wink:).

I don't understand why the spellchecker issue may not be able to be fixed, given that other SMF forums I visit have the option.  If you would prefer to discuss this via PM, in order not to have it get in the way of bug reports, let me know, and I'll send you a PM accordingly.

The wiki is broken. If you try to visit it all is fine and dandy, but as soon as you log in with your wiki username it crashes. Gives this message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getCacheTime() on a non-object in /home/uvswwxfs/public_html/wiki/includes/Article.php on line 3387

IE8

However the pop-up seems to be working, or has done the last two times I have received messages.

Currently the banner at the top of the page is missing (can only see the laurels of the W-E logo) and the ' go to last post in the thread button is gone'. No avatars either or editing straight from the page (the modify button on the side of the post that didn't actually say modify)

Working now,

Wiki issues noted. Will fix asap.

@ Irisado

The reason that the spell checker might not be fixable is because it depends on the hosts installing a certain library on the server. I will check with them soon to see if they will do it. The old hosts wouldn't.

Ah I see, thanks for the explanation.

It seems rather miserly not to include such a basic feature in my opinion, especially when it helps to improve the qualify of posts, and is particularly helpful for members who don't have English as a first language.  I hope the new hosts take this into account.

I think there has been a definite increase of Spam as of late. I've reported many over the last few months. Where, prior to that, I only remember seeing maybe one in the three or so years I've been frequenting the forum.

Does anybody else experience visual problems with the webpage? The heading is missing and background is all black.
