You know, sometimes I think I take these forums for granted. And then I visit another site and realize how good we've got it. Responsive mods (took the brackets off my name), an active community, and good functionality to the site.
What got me realizing this was earlier today I was on another warhammer-related site I visit infrequently and I wanted to look up a paint recipe I'd used to paint a test model; I passed the recipe along to an inquiring mind and now, after all this time, I wanted to paint the unit and had forgotten the recipe (doh! -- p.s. I've now started writing them down for future reference). Anyway, I thought it was around 2 years ago that I'd posted. Well, I'd forgotten my sign in name -- and no help from the Login prompt. Well, that's okay I decided I'd just look up....oh, no member list. *sigh* . So I thought I'd scroll through the forum and look for one of the few names I'd probably used and then identify the post. Like here, the other site shows a few page numbers followed by ellipses (3 dots) then the back end of the range of pages (1,2,3...224, 225, for example). But here, I can click on the ellipses and it will open up and let me see all the pages and I just click on one. Not this other site -- I had to click page 4, wait for it to open; it would put me back at the top (no page numbers up top and down bottom like here) so i'd have to scroll to the bottom and then click page 5, wait for it to open, scroll down, click page 6. You're getting a small taste of the tedium involved searching back 2 years (I was eventually successful, right about the time I was ready to slit my wrists).
So this is rather a long winded way of saying "Thanks for a well-designed site!" And to our posters, you're all great guys (well, most of you -- Mr.DWhitey makes me nervous though)
