First model my ass! That's brilliant

Looking really good - I presume it is not finished as the bow looks like bare undercoat? And, if not, I would recommend changing the color of the bow and gloves so they are not the same.

But, really, this is a wonderfully painted model and you show mastery of the form. Very good indeed - much better than my efforts.

I don't think he meant it is his first model he ever painted, just that it's the first model in his Empire army.

That being said, you are very dedicated if you are going to paint an entire army like this, considdering you put that kind of work into a lowly archer. I can't imagine how good your character models will look.

You probably want to tell us, it is your first Warhammer model. You must painted something else before, such a good looking figure.

Looks very detailed and clean. Thou with this approach you will be stuck with empire for a good long  time.  But if you want just to have some showcase figs, it's doable.

Thanks for the comments. The colours of the flesh are:

Flesh:
Base color-> Sunny skintone (MC) + English Uniform (MC) + Flat Red (MC)
First highlight ->  Base + Sunny skintone (MC)
Second highlight -> Sunny skintone (MC)
Third highlight -> Sunny skintone (MC) + Sand Yellow (MC)
First shadow -> Base + chocolat brown (MC)
Second Shadow -> First shadow + Royal Purple (MC)
Third shadow -> Second shadow + Black

MC = Vallejo Model Color.

I'll try to take pictures of the process and share it. It's difficult to explain because you have to know some things:

- The colors till it gets kind of a milky consistency or more, It's very important for do well layers..
- How move the brush is very important also. In the internet you can look many tutorials  I'll try to show in this picture:



Yellow -> highlight.
Blue -> Shadow.

Sure I'm the worst teacher of the world but is difficult to explain this things for me in english, but I will try to make something that you can understand all these . I can send you many tutorials, but only in spanish.

And Ivan, I especially love your red/black uniforms, and the models themselves....your rank and file minis blow my character minis away. (AS I tend to spend more time on my characters)
