The fact it probably won't be convertable

I'd LOVE a kit which was a flatbed cart of some kind with a load of options - two or three statues, with three or four swappable weapons, options for wings or not. A stone altar with a couple of plaques / icons which were swapable. A few banners / braziers / looped chains. An Arch Lector figure which was multi-part and compatible with the rest of the range.
That would make a multi-religion Altar easily, and encourage uniqueness. As it is, I fear we are going to get a load of cookie-cutter cRaZy! War Altars and that is just sad.
The Flaggies kit, for example, is awesome - because you can do so much with it. But imagine if there was only one way to assemble 20 crazies because of the way the kit was designed ... unless you were very skilled and prepared to spend a lot of time.
Don't get me wrong - GW has done (and still does) very good kits with lots of options - but recently the big centerpieces have been almost "single option" models, and that is kind of sad.
I am absolutely certain the new War Altar will be a thing of beauty - a lovely model and a great centerpiece. I am just afraid it is going to be more of a Mona Lisa than a Lego set, if you know what I mean.
