Anyone run across the Hussites

I've just run across a piece of history which I think was probably part of the inspiration for the empire fluff - the Hussite wars in the early 1400's in Bohemia - roughly modern Czech and Slovak republics.

Here's a link to some background.  I bought an Osprey book on the period.
http://www.myczechrepublic.com/basics/hussite_wars.html

Here's a few threads that make me think its a part of the original inspiration
1.  Teutonic protagonists on one side - very much like empire knights
2.  One leader called Sigismund
3.  On the other side - war wagons!  And cannons and handgunners.
4.  Religiously motivated peasants with flails  (flagellants?)

Anybody on here know enough early GW history to say if I'm right?

ps.  These war wagons could be used as a "castle" in a siege game since they were basically portable wall sections and not moved during battle often.
People said "smile - things could get worse"
So I did smile
And things did get worse

And now just THINK about the character-name "Luthor HUSS"...

Who'd have thought, eh?

Although Luther, of course, supported the nobility vs. the peasants, so Luthor Huss is a contradictory combination.

Cheers.

Edit: Sorry, didn't check the source before I posted, post redundant.
The only good thing about 7th ed heads is that they look particularly inbred and superstitious which is perfect for Stirlanders
