Thx man ^^ And for you zak Iv'e made a tutorial with pictures and all on how I make the round bases for my artillery. I posted it on my blog and don't have time to convert all the pictures and make it looks nice and stuff here but you can follow this address to see it: http://diceandbrush.blogspot.se/2012/04/tutorial-on-how-to-make-artillery-bases.html

Also here's some new pictures of the new base and the Mortar it was made for. Shame I don't think I will use any Mortar any more with the new rules for it.

Finally I got my new Empire stuff, just did some reading and put together three the Demi gryphs, I'm really happy with all the things I got just hope I get some more on my birthday.

Oh and here's some better pictures of my Order of the Black Rose knights.

I'm not sure on how I want to paint my Demigryphs, like my Black Roses or not, somehow it dosn't feel that fluffy with them being on Demigryphs. Maybe I just invent my of order and paint them like I did on the barding for my Griffon (chainmail barding with red motifs and trim) What do you think?

Why not do a sort of reversed scheme? So, red armor with black details. You could paint the lion bodies a light sandy brown (like an actual lion) and bright black and white eagle heads (like a bald eagle). That would be bright and dramatic, stand out on the tabletop, but also be similar enough to the body of your army.

I am planning to do much the same with mine - brighter rather than the dark models in the rest of my army.

Your Knights look awesome - really cool scheme!

That's actually an really cool idea. Still a bit unsure but I might try out this reversed theme. Thank you for the suggestion.

:biggriin: :::cheers::: :::cheers::: This stuff is excellent, I don't know how I missed it before. Great Job. I love how bulky and armored those knights look, great job cleaning them off to make them look like empire. And I love your mixed paint scheme, Ostermark + the black/ red. Great work!

Thx guys always nice to hear ppl appreciate your hard work ^^. Have been assembling models mostly right now, three Demigryphs and the War Altar, though I haven't glued the altar much as I think it will be much harder to paint underneath and inside the chariot.

And here is where I don't really know what colours I want to paint my altar in. I have decided though that I want to convert it into an Altar of Morr. I will use the statue from the Garden of Morr instead of the griffon and add wings to it. I will also do hanging black roses all over the altar, so a black chassi won't work well. So I'm thinking of either a quite dark purple for the chassi or maybe a dark red (but the normal altar is also painted red so I'm not as keen on this idea), another option is to paint it like I paint my Morr knights, with mostly black and red details.

For the the Morr High Priest I think I will use the plastic AL in kit but with a scythe and robed head and probably paint him in blacks and purple. Ideas and suggestions for both colours and more conversion ideas on how to Morr:ify the altar is highly appreciated.

Haven't had much time to paint lately I'm afraid but I have managed to finish one of the Demigryphs, I went with the ususal colour scheme for barding and such in my army and white shields etc. to tie in with the BSB. Took quite some time to finish but I'm really pleased with the result.

Hey space, Great to see this army again, this was one of the original inspirations for me to start my own. Really liking the clean paintwork, the demigryph looks amazing.

Thank you guys nice to hear you liked it, I was really unsure about the scheme in the meantime when painting it but it turned out nice in the end. Now I'm painting up two more, really fun models to paint actually.

Thanks for telling me this, the main reason I post all these pictures is to hopefully inspire people when they do their own armies.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread again but as I've mentioned my Morr War Altar here before I thought I also should show you the finished result.

I have been painting other stuff as well since I stopped updating this blog and If ppl are interested I can put up more pics (on more Demichicken Knights etc.). Anyhow, tell my what you think about the War Altar of Morr. C & C is much welcome.

Of course we are interested in more pictures of your army...........at least I am  :engel:  I love your Morrian altar of war but the bit I like most is that War Priest with all the crazy hand painted skull motifs on his robe, not to mention the great conversion work you did to turn Kyrinov into a Morr priest.  I need to get me that model some time too.

Great work! I really like your choices for the components of the conversion. The conversion of Kyrinov is fairly extensive.
