Thanks everyone!
@fbjorn-Yeah, it's Luthor's upper body with a 5th Edition Warrior Priest's lower half. I hope to get the Hurricanum knocked out by the weekend. On today's docket are finishing the shields for ten swordsmen. Should be simple enough... :eusa_wall:

Albrecht, keep up the good work. You make me aroused. Except, not. Well, aroused in the sense of now I want to paint and convert.
Now go! Ride towards the sun atop these noble steeds
You're our spandex heroes, now fullfil your destinies
And so we turned and rode beyond the castle walls
with shiny codpiece armour that doth cradle our chivalrous balls

I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty to borrow/steal the idea of your LE BSB conversion...

A shameless copy of your model, I know... I invite you to my plog to steal a couple of my ideas in return

Haven't posted anything in The Brush and Palette lately, but I've been trying to catch up on my painting backlog as well as painting some gaps in my army...

Celestial Hurricanum and Celestial Wizard

Hieronymous Bosch, Light Wizard Lord

Forge World Warrior Priest

Mounted Army Standard Bearer, still a bit of a WIP

Wizards

That popular Witch Hunter conversion/kitbash a few folks did? I made my own.

Primed and ready!

His work here is finished...

Pretty good conversion, only his left hand looks a bit dodgy, like he has some skin disease, ....

Regardless of crappy iPhone pics, can you please post something up in the modelling/conversion forum about how you made your witch hunter? Or you can just reply and list the parts, either's good.... ;-)

Thanks to Boreas_NL, who in turn got the idea from another forum. He's got more WIP shots than I do, and used some different bitz, but the result is the same!
http://warhammer-empire.com/theforum/index.php?topic=43642.msg836510#msg836510

Most notably different, I used the plastic General head instead of the Griffon Elector count head, some variying Greatsword pieces, a Dark Angels censer/purity seal thing on his back which I was able to neatly tuck in his great weapon, a small metal lock from the Inquisitor range on his waist, and some really small link chain across his chest. Also did some greenstuffing on the coat and hat.
Not a conversion for the faint of heart. There was definitely some blood drawn on my part by a wayward X-Acto

And thanks for liking my work!  :biggriin:

That conversion is, as I have said before, fantastic - and your execution of it is wonderful. Absolutely superb. I am tempted to do one myself.

My biggest problem was finding that Cultist squad leader with the longcoat individually. I ended up buying the whole twenty man unit. Anybody want/need 19 Dark Vengeance Chaos Cultists...?

Fantastic battle report, really nice to see a huge battle between such beautifully painted armies!

Out of curiosity... Your opponent's undead seem familiar. Was he one of the guys involved in The General's Compendium back in 6th edition? I seem to recall the burning black coach from a picture where undead besiege a dwarf fortress, as well as the concept of skellies with burning hair... Am I correct?

Thanks for the compliments! And, yes. We both worked for GW back then and were also regular contributors to White Dwarf and the publications put out by the US Studio. So you've probably seen those Vampire Counts before. Rob later went on to be the lead hobbyist at Privateer Press for a number of years before striking out on his own.

Ah, good to know. I loved what the US studio did back then, it tended to be alot mor creative and "hobbyistic" than the main studio. I don't think we got a whole lot of that stuff on this side of the pond, but I still have the General's Compendium and Warhammer Skirmish, both of which are excellent sources for inspiration. Cool stuff...
