So you are calling it a Hydragriff?

They already use 2 headed mutant griffons. We'll accept any mutant if it will accept Sigmar as his Lord

Or Demihydra, it's quite small compared to the current hyrdas...

Well, they are in the 4:th edition rule book, and You can use Hydras through Storm of Magic right?

Hey! Two headed-demigriffs is a great idea! I'm considering a chimera too!

I ended up with 3 IoB griffin models after some trades, so that's what I'm planning to use. They're on ebay for about £6 each, and since the Imperial Griffin is now the same size as Altdorf, their slinkiness is just right for MC.

Not sure how much effort is required with the front claws - you could leave them on flying bases (like they're leaping through the air), or just re-pose one/both claws to point down.

Not much help if you hate the idea of Demigriffs - but an obvious solution if you're on a budget and don't want to fork out £10 per critter.

On a side note:
Any ogre players tried out alternative models for mournfang/rhinox/thundertusk/stonehorns? I've looked at Schleich and Papo bulls/bears/rhinos, but not sure of the scale. It's getting harder to pretend I'm wargaming and not just playing with toys

That Titanforge model would make for a great Demigriffon champion.

Yeah, it's strange how hard it is to come by well sculpted bears.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Yeah, I've been considering this as well. Or perhaps mixing the IoB gryph with Demi's. But I think the IoB might be just slightly too large.
It would be much appreciated if you kept us updated sir!

Totally forgot about Duhrer's Rhino, for Fenris

I believe he has more on the go, so some variety could be achieved too.

Just wait till my werebears are done in 3 months. Just gotta see if the size is decent. Waiting on test model from Reaper and Warmachine. Other possibility is fire//frost giants from Reaper. My army is turning towards the dark and wild side. Getting to were lore of beasts is required for any sort of decent storyline.

Not really as big as you might want, but here's what I got:

It's the D&D prepainted hippogriff minus its wings.

I'm using it as a warhorse for my general though.

Anyone got any idea if the Forge World Tallarn Mukaali Rough Rider would fit on a 50mm-75mm base? From what I have gleaned from the internet they come with a 60-80mm roundish base. From looking at that base it seems they would fit on the 50mm-75mm base but it would be tight.

It's a 60mm base I believe. Should fit 50x75 quite nicely.
