Real Life (tm) caught up with me, but yes - I have been painting a little. I'll post pictures next week after I have applied the finishing touches on the current PiP models. Thanks for the interest though 8-)
Oh and Feanor; I did indeed read both the omnibuses as well as the eBook "Kraken" and I really liked all of them. I even got my hands on the Space Wolves graphic novel and loved that one as well. Now I am just waiting for more SW fiction to hit the shelves - I am getting some serious withdrawal syptoms ;)

Quickbeam:
:icon_eek: how did I miss this before.
I'm starting to paint my space wolves army as well but the new paints confused how exactly I was going to do it
What formula do you use? it looks lighter than gw's "basecoat with The Fang, Shade with Nuln Oil, Layer with Russ Grey, Layer with Fenrisian Grey, Drybrush with Etherium Blue" and to be honest I don't even have half of those :engel: I know you said you used army painters Wolf Grey spray.

Here's my way:
1) Spray undercoat with Army Painter Wolf Grey
2) Wash GW Agrax Earthshade wash (or Devlan Mud) to the recesses only. This enables you to have a more even surface for the next THIN layers of paint.
3) Layer on two thin coats of 50/50 mix of Vallejo Game Color "Sombre Grey" / Vallejo Game Color "Wolf Grey" leaving the spray coat and wash in the recesses.
4) Edge highlight with Vallejo "Wolf Grey" or GW Space Wolf Grey (old paints) they are almost identical. Maybe use the new GW Fenrisian Grey instead (supposedly the substitute for Space Wolf Grey).
The Rhino in the first post is painted like that for example. Hope this helps!
And then to document my progress I present to you my Wolf Guard Battle Leader with Saga of the Hunter and +Stalker-Pattern+ combi-melta, who will however usually go to battle as an ordinary combi-melta wielding wolf guard pack leader attatched to my scouts.
He was a test piece on the color scheme for my camo-cloak scouts as well as great fun to convert!
Next up are the final highlights and finishing touches to my first troops (5xGrey Hunters) as well as my first Land Speeder.
C&C welcome (as long as it is positive :icon_lol:)

Sig:
That scout kicks ass. Wonderful.
King:
Nice wolf guard model but why arm him with a sniper rifle when he will be totting melta all the time? Other than that, good conversion and paint job
