Not personally, but there is a guy at my LGS that uses Nippon and it seems like a really well done AB.  I have watched him play and it seems as balanced as anything GW puts out, probably more...

I believe he was part of the Dogs of War update. Speaking from experience with this book, I can say they are better written than GW's stuff. They are using the new Dogs of war book at some of the Indy tournaments.

The balance might be because I keep the guy on a tight leash  We play in the same club and I provide him with quite a lot of feedback when he starts talking about his latest AB (which is quite often) :).

But jokes aside, most of his stuff is pretty good and any contributions I might have made is forcing him to justify his design decisions.

I like this guy, he is infinitely better than anybody that GW has on staff.  I like to write army books as well, and when I was done with my Kislev list I thought I would google what other people thought it should look like, and to my surprise his Kislev army was almost identical!  Great minds think alike I suppose.
And with all these Archer detachments everywhere, is the empire going to perhaps ....enter the Danger Zone?

I have read this guy's stuff for awhile now, it's pretty solid.   I would love to give the amazon book a try, but there are not enough female models that I like.  Or that aren't just giant breasts with legs.
