I hope they get this rolling.

I got two boxes of their "Chosen Chaos Warriors" and the detail is awesome.

I'm going to try to make a storm of chaos style slayer army using their plastic slayers.

Very cool, but I don't think I would have as much use for the dwarf army considering I am building one using WK imperial dwarfs...

That bear cavalry though... and the bear warriors...

I probably wouldn't bother unless the funding gets to the level where they will make those ones for sure.  Otherwise I will just wait for them to be made anyway.

Will be interesting to see how this goes. I got a box of slayers and really like them, expecially the one giving the bird.

If I get my box of Warriors of Apoc. before the funding ends, I'll certainly contribute.

Wow, compared to the mantic fundraiser on kickstarter, this one really seems to be bombing... just over halfway to the goal...

Why not put this on Kickstarter in a month, rather then on a less known site, at the same time as mantic ?

I like the sound of :
[$23.750] Dwarf Bear Warriors: 10 multi-component WarCast miniatures regiment of Dwarf Warriors in bear disguise.

Why would he look there?  Never ever has there been balls under an elf's robes.   :closed-eyes:

Could be the lack of advertising, but I guess its also more limited in scale compared to the mantic planned releases.  That and the deals you get aren't significantly better than just buying stuff at the regular price, whereas with mantic you get a pretty huge discount/lots of freebies.

Not enough advertisement I think.....

The reason Mantic has a better turnout is probably because they already have been able to produce armies and are much more reliable in that department. That and the fact that Mantic products are cheaper than GW, something AoW is not - they are an alternative (which is why I do not get why they don't just make models that GW have old versions of and go from there).

I've not looked into it closely to see if it's true or not, but I hear that with Indiegogo you actually have to make the payment up front, rather than just a commitment to pay like with Kickstarter. I know that alone puts me off supporting Indiegogo projects. If you have to pay up front and the project doesn't get funded, do you get your money refunded? It is a much less known site though, so a case of a less known host, a lesser known company producing the product, much smaller track record, insufficient advertising, and many other reasons.

I've heard rumors that Kickstarter is only for US companies, so Avatars of War wouldn't qualify.

If you also do a search on kickstarter by cities you can see where the specific project is located, and while most are American not all of them are. You don't have to be an American company to be on kickstarter :

"[$41.250] War bears: 5 multi-component armoured war bears (WarCast) "

Does this mean they need to raise 41 thousand, 250 dollars is needed for them to do this model? IF it is, that stinks, cause they only are asking for 20k.

I think you are right, maybe they will raise the summ, but 6 days left, and they have 16,570......I' don't think they will.

.......they will be making these thanks to funding.:

"[YEAAAAH!] Dwarf Champion kit (choice of several weapon combos):  WarCast miniature
[YEAAAAH!] Dwarf Crossbowmen: 10 multi-component WarCast miniatures regiment of Dwarf warriors armed with crossbow.
[YEAAAAH!] Dwarf Veterans: 20 multi-component WarCast miniatures regiment of regular Dwarf warriors armed with two handed weapons. "

Probably so, I'm afraid.

It's actually weird, they have less succes then Mantic, when AoW make much  better looking figs then Mantic.

Maybe people don't trust them enough since they are spanish and Spain has financial difficulties?
