Fencer's blades and white cloak most things are hitting the AL on 6s, and the altar on 5s.

Why would the altar be hit on 5+ and not 6+, same as the chariot's rider? Opponent uses the crew's weapon skill for his 'to hit' roll, and seeing as AL is the only crew member for the war altar, you use his.

White Cloak of Ulric makes everyone in base contact hit at -1. Or are you saying that the AL is not in base contact with an attacker?

No, I'm saying that altar and lector are both going to be hit against ws10 and -1 to hit.

Attacking the Lector will be at WS10 and -1 to hit; therefore, they will need 6s  (unless they have a WS of 5 or higher)
Attacking the War Altar will be at WS3 (the WS of the horses) and -1 to hit;  therefore, 5s (unless they have WS 4 or higher)

this again?
why in the world would you use the horses WS??? :?
every other army that can put a character on a chariot has "replaces crew", chariots fight against the crews (or character) WS.  the difference being that we cannot run the war Alter without AL so that standard notation is irrelevent.  the horses are not crewing the Alter it is AL so you would use his WS for CC.
until a FAQ comes out that states "CC attackes against the War Alter use the horses WS" I will use AL's WS thank you.

I don't have the BRB with me right now, but I thought it was under Chariots that you use the mount's WS when attacking the chariot.

Can anyone confirm/correct?

I can see many builds using the white cloak on that archlector... I'd like that build. But fluff-wise?

The White Cloak of Ulric... On an Archlector of Sigmar? That's like the pope wearing a jews' cap!

Oh, wait.
I just re-name the magic Item Holy Vestiments of Sigmar and use the same rules as the white cloak. :engel:

can't beleive I have to rules laywer myself. ::heretic::
yes a Character on a chariot, it counts as a ridden monster. page 105.
so i guess you would use the horses WS3 - ugh!  one more knock against the WAlter

I don't agree.

Ok, ridden chariots follow the rules for ridden monsters - you hit the chariot separately. But still, you hit chariot by the rules of hitting the chariot - use the crew's weapon skill. If the Lector is alive, he is the crew, use his weapon skill.
