Topic: Deep Red armor

Hey guys, looking to paint my empire army with deep red armor, golden trim and black.  A bit khornish, but not as evil.  Any hints?

Deep red armor? I would suggest some kind of brown base, highlighted up to red, and then gloss varnish.

I use (Old colors) Mechrite red base, Red gore/crimson gore color and a very very sharp blood red highlight. So sharp it actually is rarely visible

Go fro the new base colour khorne red - better than mechrite red in my opinion - less pink. Then follow with a badab/nuln black wash and highlight from there using your preferred reds depending on whether you are going for warm or cool colour. Finish of with baal red wash to get deep red tone.

I have been watching a couple of eBayer's for a few months now. I have been really liking their red scheme for their Khorne Chaos troops. If you like give em a shout. Maybe they will tell you the process they use.
