I am going to convert greatswords into spearmen(becuse that i do not like the state troop model) and was wondering were i can get spears that the wielder is holding in one hand while carrying a shield in tha other hand. I would be happy if anybody could giveme some tips were to get spears.

Many people make their own from a piece of wire or brass rod; you can either attach a model piece to the end to make the point, model one with Green Stuff etc., or flatten and sharpen the end with a pair of pilers and a file.

The wire method would give you a lot of flexibility.

State troops sprue.



You could remove the left hand completely and remove a smaller part of the right arm which meets the shoulder.
Your state troops would then have spears leaned on their shoulders.

You will use old arms from state troops of 6th ed. you should use arms to halabard, but instead using halabard heads, using spear heads from new state troops. You will use plastic rod from evergreen brand with spear heads from 7th ed. state troops... :ph34r:
