Nice. But you posted this in the wrong forum. :icon_wink:

Whoops good catch!

About the only thing left on these boys is their left shoulder insignia.  I need to paint it on those who didn't have one to begin with.  Also, I need to do the script on their scrolls and honors.

I wil have the terminators up and ready tomorrow night.

Thank you!  This is my first try with white primer, I actually really like the effect on the brighter colors.

White is such a hard colour to do. I take it that you prime white then use a black wash and white again??

Yeah.  Works pretty well really.  Tempted to try it with my orks in the future, though I may need to stay with black in order to keep the army consistent.

Thanks Finley!

Thanks GP!

Just shining gold valejo paint over white primer with a heavy layer of brown wash over the top.  Couldn't get easier really!

Thank aldaris!  I really like the clean look.  I wanted to try it after seeing Sir Ulrich and his fantastic space wolves.

White is hard.  It shows the brush strokes bad.  I water the paint a bit and have to do at least two layers to get it satisfactory.

Those models look exceptionally good Philly.  The white is incredibly white!

Ha, is it though?

Thanks Crimson, I was going for a bit of the Imperial Stormtrooper stark white over black.  The blue helps break up the models though and I like the "cold" palette.

I finished the terminators and will be taking a picture of them being photographed by a camera, photographed with me phone.
Cameraception.  I am a decadent American.

Are you doing the terminators in a different scheme?  Like Deathwing in bone?

I am fairly upset with my dark angel army.  The new codex allows you to field a number of good builds, but I would need to spend a silly, silly amount of money to get all I wanted.  Around another 500!

Clearly it isn't racist Darknight, I simply said the white looked white which everyone should have been able to tell was referring to the white painted space marines  :-D

No, the terminators are the same basic theme but their power fists and storm bolters plus their heads are the only blue.

What type of army are you looking to play Crimson?

Well sinking the 500 would allow me to field any of the  builds in the codex, be it raven, death, green or combined.  At the moment my Dark Angels army are a codex army, since I have been using them as a 5th edition marine chapter.

On getting the new book, I was horrified that I would need to buy a lot more bikes and terminators to do themed lists.   Black Knights are probably one of the best units in the entire game, which at first glance I hadn't realised.  They are unbelievably underpriced.

I have just spent about 250 on my daemons to turn them into a 6th edition army.  I spent about 200 on my chaos marines, and Eldar are due out shortly as well.  Looks like my Dark Angels will be waiting!   However it may be I make it into a Deathwing army.  I would only need to buy another 3 boxes of terminators and 3 of the new dark angel terminators to do that.

You can get bikes online for about $6 each for the DV models.

Its the black knights I want though, I have enough normal bikes to field all I would ever field.  Normal ravenwing are too pricey for what they do IMO.

Thank you!

The IG army was an experiment in speed painting an army.  It was a bit messy, but it got done damn it!  My orks and Space marines are a bit more of a show army.  I am having a great time with them too.

How are black knights different from the normal biker box set?  Aren't they essentially different through the chosen paintjob?

Could probably use other models for Corvus hammers and the plasma talon could be made from the no doubt 5 million spare plasma pistols you have hanging around no?

Black knights have those twinlinked plasma talons or whatever they are called, but its an 18 inch range twinlinked plasmagun. They also have corvus hammers which are pure quality for the points.

In terms of rules, for just over ten points more than a ravenwing biker, you gain an attack, a corvus hammer, skilled rider and the plasma talon/grenade launcher.  Well worth the upgrade.

You know the blue and white reminds me of pre heresy World Eaters which is an amazing scheme in itself.
