Photobucket - Website down
« on: July 22, 2013, 01:12:57 PM »
To load pictures on the warhammer forums I use photobucket and this site begins to irritate me big time. It's full with spam ('girls' who think Juba Falk is hot and wants him to call them back - really) and stupid popoing up adverts. And the process is also rather slow and complicated.
Has anybody better ideas or other ways to upload pictures! Otherwise I've to rethink the Pretzhelburg Chronicles thread
 :-(

Remark two I couldn't reach the site for some tim. Anybody experienced the same?

I am frustrated with it too. They re-formatted their site recently and now you have to select and copy and paste the URL code for every picture one at a time. I used to do them 30 - 40 at a time for my massive bat reps.

So yeah, it went from ok to frustrating. But I'm an optimist and I keep thinking they'll re-instate the missing basic functions.
Photobucket has graciously resurrected my pictures, so my collected works thread is suddenly working again - see http://warhammer-empire.com/theforum/index.php?topic=38528.0. To see my slowly growing website go to https://bigsmallworlds.com/

Try using DeviantArt.

It's a page for artists of all different kinds no membership fee and a nice online storage.

Or imgur.com

Photobucket is a slow, script-heavy piece of shit with a terrible UI.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Flickr is the frontline, you can join and share in the official  GW group.
One of the big wigs... once told them "If a household doesn't have an income of $70,000, we don't consider them a GW target customer."

That's funny that so many people are having problems with Photobucket and yet people are recommending Flickr. I seldom have any problems with Photobucket and it is my experience that Flickr is very slow and is a pain in the butt to use. I always cringe when someone posts a link to a Flickr album for their pictures.

Maybe it is dependent on your browser?
It is not enough to have no ideas of your own; you must also be incapable of expressing them.
