Online Battle 1500pt: Dwarf vs Empire Battle Thread

We will have several running threads:
--A Battle Thread (this thread) where all the tactical decisions are posted after they are made and where the results are posted for all to see
--A Dwarf Tactics discussion thread for those on the Dwarf Team
--An Empire Tactics discussion thread for those on the Empire Team

Fidelis has agreed to be our rules arbiter.

I tried setting up a dicetracker page like HHG had, but it is a lot of work (massive props to him for doing it) so I am working on some way to share a log file of dice I roll on random.org

Both the Dwarf and Empire Threads are up and running, and both sides have come up with lists they are going to use.

Here is the map for this battle:

In the center of the map is an Acropolis of Heroes. Units within 6” are Stubborn. A unit garrisoning it has +1 to rolls to wound. Behind (to the right) of it is a Wall.

On the left is a Mysterious Lake. On the right is a normal hill large enough to block Line of Sight to everything behind it besides Large Targets. Also, there is a rock that is Impassable Terrain that also block Line of Sight. The right edge of the map is the side of a mountain, also Impassable Terrain.

In response to the demigryphs going down the Dwarfs would like to place our unit of Longbeards in a 5 wide formation. ~~They should be dropped in the central square with one side touching the western grid line.~~They should be dropped 24 inches from the western side of the board with one edge of the unit lying along the grid line. And as far forward as possible.
