Cheers lads.

Finally got into gear with the 2nd rank of greatswords, finished off:

Got 2 more ranks of greatswords for this unit that I'll come back to at some point. Probably going to get the Ostermarkers done first.

Also I converted up this Warrior Priest out of a combination of flagellant and GS parts with some other odds and ends:

Perfect for leading some spearmen methinks...
Next time I'll have the Ostermark unit and this chap ready to show off!
Don't forget to vote in the Pistoliers poll linked above :)

Thanks chaps! This week I unearthed a massive cache of old Empire stuff from the garage whilst searching for a DVI cable.
I found a raft of models. Enough to keep me going during this coronavirus stuff. Not that it's likely to change my routine of staying inside and painting anyway  :::cheers::: Annoyingly the knights are still missing from my collection... maybe they'll turn up another time.

Making headway on the Ostermarkers. Here are the first of some likely prospects:

Got to finish off the basing but we are getting there with the unit, only 11 more faces to paint  :icon_rolleyes:
Will have a full unit pic for you soon! Don't forget to vote in the poll if you didn't yet: https://www.strawpoll.me/19465466/

Cheers

Unit is done sans the banner:

Don't know that I've showed the horrible "pencil scratching" versions these banners turn out as in the planning stage yet. Prepare for it to be slowly beautified  :::cheers:::

So a few days ago I scraped the poll for the Pistoliers and it was a dead tie:

So I picked the result I liked best out of the dead heat and here are the results:

Unfortunately the old pistoliers kit is only so detailed and combined with being glued to the horses I gave up doing too much detail work on the faces. For the rest of it I'm quite satisfied, though. In the future perhaps I'll go back and do some touchups but for now I'll call them "sufficient"!

Next time I'll hopefully have that Ostermark banner finished off and a finished Warrior Priest to flaunt, too.

Really lovely style and army! The warrior priest conversion rules.

Very crisp "uniforms", and like the different colours and hues for the horses.

It's hard to say from the photos, but do you drill the muzzles of the pistols open? Some looked a bit unclear, one even suggesting a mold line. Am I just imagining things?

Beautiful work. The pistoliers look great. Will you paint any more units in Stirland colors?

Thanks all.
Not sure if I will do more Stirlanders yet. Trying to get a round tour of one unit from each province first I think :)

Hello all, I'm back after a long hiatus. Turns out with the depressing state of the real world I didn't want to paint anything. Ho-hum.

Anyway I'm sufficiently bored and newly-motivated enough to pick up the paintbrushes again. Let's sink or swim-- here's the task at hand...

Well, Karl Franz is done.

(Sorry for the awkward pics -- it's hard to get a good perspective shot of a guy who needs his mount, really...)

Now to tackle the giant griffon Deathclaw.  :icon_lol:
