Garnering conversion opinion.
« on: July 20, 2019, 08:06:46 AM »
Hello everyone,,
I am currently making the equivalent to Teutogen Guard, or Standing White Wolves counting as greatswords more or less. While the greatsword bodies are well armored at the torso, they have primarily unarmored and frilly legs. Do you think they'll still look cool, or will those legs from the original greatswords seem very unbecoming of White Wolves?

I was also considering making another Greatswords conversion of turning them into either standing Reiksguard or standing Knights Panther, and wasn't sure how it would look for them either. So I am shockingly asking for internet opinion.  :engel:

I cannot see why not. For a more armoured look, you could get the heads from the Empire Knightly Orders. Also, the State troops command group conatins a model with full body armour. Alternatively, you could convert Chaos Warriors, or use non-GW minis.  Note that when the Reiksguard on foot existed in earlier editions, they were carrying HW & shield.

Here are some suggestions for conversions by members of this website:

It is not enough to have no ideas of your own; you must also be incapable of expressing them.

I forgot about these.  :icon_twisted:

I seem to remember they weren't quite ready when I bought the other footknight sets and spare weapons, and have forgotten they existed.

I have the witch hunters set, but am not sure if I have missed anything else in the last year or so.

Having been over to your marvellous website, White knight, oh boy I would love to get my hands on some pony mounted halfling riders!

Not 100% clear on how to proceed though!
Photobucket has graciously resurrected my pictures, so my collected works thread is suddenly working again - see http://warhammer-empire.com/theforum/index.php?topic=38528.0. To see my slowly growing website go to https://bigsmallworlds.com/
