So I ended up backing all three of those kickstarters above.

Pledged at the $25 level for the Greeks, the $50 level for the ACW Union Greatcoats,, and the 55 pound level for the buildings.

Only 1 day to go for the WW2 buildings!

I increased my pledge level for the Classical Greeks and the campaign has now reached it's 3rd stretch goal.

I don't know out of all of those you put up those where the guys that looked the least impressive compared to what is already on the market, perhaps I just don't know enough about the various Hoplites out there.

I'm a fan of Tiger Miniatures.  In the U.S., these figures can be obtained via Recreational Conflict, a good outfit.

Suspect the pictures of the Hoplites don't do the figures full justice, although not considered high end, I'm sure.  I have some of their other figures from their Herero Wars line, and their Balkan Wars line, and I like both.

I won't likely mix in the Greeks with other company's figures, and keep them in their own units.  At the 50 pound level ($60) that's 68 metal figures for under $1 each, can't beat the price point.

Also, he let's us mix and match as desired, so I'm getting 20 hoplites with Corinthian helmets, might get some attacking hoplites for a couple of bases, and 20 hoplites with Thracian helmets to use as mercenaries or Macedonians.  Plus the 12 Javelins and 12 Archers are going to be 8 of each with 8 slingers instead of the extra Javelins and Bows.

I'll be using these with the rules called Impetus, and they'll be available for different armies if desired.

Wow, the Classical Greek campaign pushed on past the next stretch goal, a command set, and is approaching the next goal, Greek mercenaries.  Maybe it'll reach the cavalry goal, although only a week to go!

Here is a new urban terrain kickstarter ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/georgepanopoulos/pedion-urban-handpainted-terrain-tiles-for-wargame

Not only might these be used for historicals, but I'm imagining things like Mordheim and Frostgrave, too.

The 2 x 2 option seems a bit small, the 3 x 3 option seems better, and the 4 x 4 option could be very good.

These are being produced in three different look ... "Rustic", "Medieval", and "Modern".  I like the "Rustic" look best.

2nd Renaissance Knights kickstarter by Steel Fists ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/536771983/renaissance-knights-2

The six original knights as well as the six new ones (4 with couched lances, 2 hand weapons), plus packs of 6 renaissance pikemen are all available.

I'm pledging for at least the six original knights (3 sets of 2 figures), and maybe the attacking knights with hand weapons (1 set of 2 figures) or a package of the pikemen if the funding goal of the campaign is reached.

These are expensive, but they look grand! :icon_biggrin: :icon_cool:

The Classical Greeks have less than a day to go, but they've lost a couple of backers.  Doesn't look like the mercenaries will be reached, yet I could be surprised.  Definitely won't make it to the cavalry goal.

Here's the link again just in case someone wants to climb on board before it finishes ...

Couple of small pledges added to the Classical Greeks but not enough to put it over the 1,000 pound mark, oh well.  I kept my pledge at the 50 pound level, and looking forward to seeing the figures.

Here's an interesting kickstarter for ships with figures, 10mm though ...

Only 4 days to go here ...

ACW Unions in Great Coats ...

 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1773971808/28mm-miniature-civil-war-union-soldiers-wearing-gr?ref=checkout_rewards_page

They are about 1,000 off from hitting the next stretch goal, attacking figures.  I'd sure like to see them do those, so climb on board even with a small pledge, even if you're new to ACW gaming.  Give it a go!

The music on the video alone is worth a pledge! :icon_cool:

Only a little time left on these Renaissance Knights ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/536771983/renaissance-knights-2

I'm not sure they'll make it to their goal, yet considering upping from 3 sets to 4 to be able to get the 6 original knights and either the attacking knights with hand weapons or the set of 6 pikemen.

If I understand correctly, funds will not be pulled from those pledging if they don't reach the funding goal, is that correct :icon_question:

Yup that's correct for Kickstarter at least. Funds only get taken if they succeed. If they don't, nothing happens.

Only a little time left on these Renaissance Knights ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/536771983/renaissance-knights-2

Very nice sculpts. But those plastic Perry knights around, you really need to love metal & extravagant headgear to invest in these. Methinks.

No doubt the Perry plastics are less expensive, yet these are very good sculpts and worth the money.  I've increased my pledge amount to also get the 6 pikemen.

Regarding the campaign for Renaissance Knights here ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/536771983/renaissance-knights-2

... the producer is now including a 25% off sale for all the figures on the Steel Fists website as part of the pledge campaign in an effort to get to go over the top.  I hadn't picked up any of the 15th century nobles, but might, and the guys Japanese figures are excellent, too.

Oh, that's a nice combo sale!

No doubt the Perry plastics are less expensive, yet these are very good sculpts and worth the money.  I've increased my pledge amount to also get the 6 pikemen.

I'm just jealous, because I won't go over my budget, which means I won't be getting these knights, at least in this kickstarter.  :-)

I so much hope I could see the knights from the previous Landsknecht kickstarter by Adam Holmes. They'll unlikely reach this level of detail, and might actually fall behind the Perry plastics. But since I'll be getting those and have the Perries, still unbuilt and unpainted, it's a no-no for new knights... Suck...

Well it seems the campaign is picking up a decent bit of steam with under two days to go! :icon_biggrin:

I pledged an additional amount to receive the 3 sets of 15th century nobles from the website store to get them at the 25% off.

I looked at those knights for quite a while - then decided that at 7.50 each they were expensive, .........

.............. and pledging more didn't get you a discount

............. and I have Foundry ones that look just as good IMO

so I didn't pledge.
