Yep, they were a bit expensive per figure.  There was a time when I'd not have bought them, but I've taken a liking to them and did.

Received the figures for this kickstarter ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/536771983/renaissance-knights-2

I've purchased the original 3 sets, plus the set of 6 pikemen.  Excellent figures!

I hope to see more infantry in the future.

I've been resisting involving myself in a number of kickstarters recently.  And succeeded!

However, this one is going to be tough not to do ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1773971808/28mm-miniature-american-civil-war-soldiers-in-wint?ref=creator_nav

It is a follow up to the last ACW figures done by Raven Banner Games.  I got a good number of figures the last time and can't wait to paint them up for some new ACW units that I am planning.

These newest figures even have Confederates in winter gear! :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

The banjo music for the video is also good!

They look pretty nice. I've been on the look out for models in that scale that fit the French and Indian wars time period. There's an interesting game system called muskets and tomahawks that's a skirmish game set in the period, but they use other companies models. Most of which I cant find in Canada.

I like these for 28mm F&I War ... http://www.gallopingmajorwargames.com/ ... although I'm not sure if they are available in Canada or not.  Perhaps try ordering them through the mail.

The guy who makes the Galloping Major figures is a good friend of mine, a fellow reenactor ( my commanding officer at times ). He's a lovely bloke and yes, his figures are top notch.

This is very tempting ...

I have some figures purchased for a 20th Century Imagi-nations concept being contemplated, and these buildings could fit in nicely!

Top notch buildings here ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1769675828/russian-village-28mm-laser-cut-hdf-terrain-kits

I love that these can be bought with either a more modern look (WW2 and current) or the older style roofs (Napoleonic and before).

Here's an interesting series of bridges and buildings ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wowbuildings/a-bridge-too-wow-3d-stl-bridges-buildings-terrain?ref=recs&ref=discovery

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with these folks?

Looks like I could still pledge currently even though it is over.

Here are some good looking 1745 Jacobite Rebellion 28mm figures ...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/553354256/28mm-1745-jacobite-rebellion-miniatures?ref=discovery

I'm going to make a small pledge for at least 5 packs at 30 pounds, about $41.  That will provide me at least one of each of the Highlander packs, although I might even go in for 60 pounds, $82, but we'll see.

Also, a person can decide they want to back the project and only purchase some of their flags from any of their ranges for 20% off the usual price.

14 days to go!

Okay I wasn't really interested when I first saw your post. I don't hugely care about the jacobite rebellion. Still I opened the link to have a look, and do actually like the look of the models. Better yet, they look perfect for the Muskets and Tomahawks French and Indian war game that I'm interested in. They'll have to be painted up as loyal British forces, but that's only proper.

I might sign up for the smallest skirmish level pledge. The stretch goals are nice but not really mind blowing. Nor for the pledge level I'm interested in.

Of course the more I look at it the more I'm tempted to go for the next level up and make a whole 20 man regiment of them. Hmm...

My pledge was for the 5 packs of 4 with my eyes on the Highlanders.  However, I could see myself pledging for the 10 packs to be able to also obtain 1 each of the Lowlander packs, and then two more of the Highlander packs.  We'll see how this moves forward in the last two weeks.

I had seen them, but wasn't inspired.
For Muskets and Tomahawks I already have the Northstar Highlanders and cannot see another system where I might use them, but basically they just don't appeal.

The Jacobite Rebellion is a niche, although these look like they'd work well for other things too.  They'll look good along side Foundry, The Assault Group, Front Rank, and Galloping Major.

I upped my pledge from 30 pounds to 60 pounds.  That way I can get one pack each of the Lowlanders as well as the Highlanders, which makes for 8 packs, and then I can decide which of them I'd like to have copies of as well.  I might fill out the 2nd 20 figures with two Lowlander packs or maybe go with more Highlanders.

I'm actually contemplating even going up to the 90 or 120 pound pledge levels as well.  Nick Collier is the sculptor and they look great!

This campaign lost a backer, and then it picked up another 5 or 6.  Only $600 more to go, so this one could happen.

It is past the John Roy Stuart stretch goal, and here's hoping they arrive at the Ecossais Command group pack next.
