Matt had a similar game we tried out last Christmas - have you seen that?
It was heroes trying to beat baddies, and so a bit limited in objectives, but needed some tactical nous.

Plus delivery in April next year is a bit close to Bash potential dates - given the way most of my recent kickstarters have gone.  :closed-eyes:
:icon_lol:  I had to look up "tactical nous".

I found the British definition of "nous", which was funny because I was more aware of the French definition. :icon_lol:

they also did a fantasy one where you control monsters and get attacked by villagers, soldiers and heros which seems like a fun inversion.
I like the idea of a game I could play on my own and scale it up, that you can carry in one box and finish in an evening.

regular war games take me too long!
I don't care about the rules.

Pass the machete.

At the last minute, I find myself tempted by the Mantic Vanguard, for the nightstalkers, giants, and terrain...

I was a bit disappointed by the first Mantic Kings of war kickstarter. My package was badly late, sent to the wrong address, etc.

I was almost tempted by the night stalkers and dwarves, but I think I'm going to sit it out. I have enough models between the previous reaper kicks and the next one.

I think this looked cool. I would have liked to see more pictures showing the sale.

Yep, the shield generator would probably be my pledge, if I hadn't already pledged elsewhere.

Does anyone have the Kings of War succubi? They look like they have potential?

I really like those! No use for them myself, but great sculpts!

(Maybe I should branch out my giant obsession to include large trolls...)

Please note that I am currenly going through lenghts to get the very limited metal release done that I was planning since fig 1. WH member may (should I succeed) replace their resin figs with metal ones.

But honestly - I make no promises as I need to make sure it can be done in time etc.

These are good models, and realistic too. The only unreal thing is semi-naked berserkers in furs. According to the saga descriptions, they would look quite similar to other warriors. That said, within the fantasy-viking genre, this is likely as realistic it can ever get. I'm afraid my wallet will cry a little after these ladies...

I bought some Pirates and Barbarians back in 2011 from the sculptor - lovely minis.
