Eurobash 2019 Decision Time
« on: November 07, 2018, 10:40:51 AM »
Soth and I have been discussing possible dates for next year.
The Belgian Public Holidays do not seem to work well in mid-May for weekends so originally there were two possibilities:

1:  Easter Weekend - Good Friday is April 19th and Easter Monday is April 22nd - so probably 3 out of the 4 days that weekend

2. Thursday May 30th (Belgian Public Holiday) Friday  31st is a 'Bridging Day' and then June 1st and 2nd for the weekend. So probably gaming Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

(UK late spring bank holiday is May 27th)

We would like to get the best turnout we can, and so we need people to step up and confirm that they are coming.

Also to try and maximise the attendance we have come up with a third date option, which is later in the summer.

3.There is a Belgian Public Holiday on Thursday August 15th, with a 'bridging' day off on Friday 16th, so that weekend is a possibility.
It could either be Thurs/Fri/Sat (travel Weds and Sunday) or Fri/Sat/Sun (Travel Thurs and Monday)

So could serious attendees please indicate availability and preferences as hotel bookings need to be made, and the time for dithering is over.

I like both options this time around, as we Dutchies can spend Kingsday (on 27th of April) at home now for a change :)

Anyway option 2 would give us a better chance on good weather though for the soccer game

Edit: work for my girlfriend is diffcult to get off days for the first option (to tend for the kids otherwise we need additional help), so second option is best for me.

Assuming fresh blood is welcome I'll try to fit in either dates once you decided on one. Don't have a WHFB army at the moment but I'm sure at least some of you bring along 40k.

We could do the first, and we cannot make it to the second one.

If it becomes the second then re-schedule the thing you have on the second to the first, that way you can still come ;)

I really like the dates of the second one, but I got family coming over from the other side of the pond.

Else it would be 100% sure we would come, since we could go make an extra trip around there or even hide in Midaskis car, and go check the UK before they leave the EU and become a semi post-apocalyptic region.

First option is best for me. I have to get free for those dates. The first option is already time off from work.

Yeah - just had a 'falling over' again - but NOT a cardiac arrest. The ICD recorded nothing, so now they haven't got a clue. Neurologist says it's not epilepsy.  :engel:

Two  things they are not thankfully 😸
A family friend had the same experience and she lost her license for 6 months. They still canít explain why either. It never happened again and that was 3 years ago.
