GW Lustria "Teaser"
« on: April 27, 2005, 04:00:46 AM »
I'll re-post this here for anyone that wasn't hiding out on TWF today. It did not meet with a warm reception.

Has anyone seen the flash "teaser" that GW put up for Lustria? Amusing way to spend 2 minutes. Follow the link: http://conquest.games-workshop.com/

Make sure your speakers are on for the full effect.

I am sorry to say, but that looked like a cheezy trailer for a "C+" video game.....

that was a very simple trailer... and the sound didnt fit the "message" that the trailer sent.

I think wood elves wouldn't want to make that trip...

Even with the bad trailer, we need to get the empire organized for the upcoming campaign. I don't think there are going to be any defined sides, just everyone plundering, so we need all the empire players we can get.

Despite the business advantages of letting everyone participate, why oh why make a fool out of your fluff??? After all, you could offer the left-out races something else instead, in the ways of campaigning.

Bring 'em all on I say!

We'll scour Lustria of all these filthy pale-skinned relic thieves and send them to meet their makers.

Just ask what happened to that Chaos Lite harlot Morathi.  :P

Actually my army could do with some gold and new items and things.  Now just have to orginise a march from Hergig, to Marienburg, buy me a fleet to sail over their, give some yokels a kicking and steal lots of loot, preferably enough to pay for my soldiers, gear, boats etc, and make a profit at the end.

This is assuming you dont get eaten by thier new Encounter phase of death by umba gumba. Getting my wizard eaten by a plant or swallowed in quicksand is not giving me happy thoughts, Especially for a campaign.

That would be sweet :)

I think they're missing a golden opportunity to revive Man-O-War! That aside though, according to UKWD 305 the campaign will work as follows; clubs/groups/stores play the "node" campaign provided in the book and submit the end result to GW. GW compiles the data and uses that as outcome of the "worldwide" campaign.
I don't know what Caesar thought when he got to the Ides of March
Don't know what Houdini bought when he went to the store
But I sure do miss the eighties
