Well, quite a few of you seem to be headed to the Necronomicon Indy GT in Florida this year.  Just curious who else, if anyone, might be attending the Hillbilly Invitational in Little Rock?

I've forsaken the empire this year - but that's no reason to pass on an opportunity to meet some of y'all.

I thought about going to the Hillbilly, but it was full.  Instead I've decided to go to the Necro and beat up on ole TVI :)

When is the HillBilly?

It's June 4-5 this year. (additional details at www.hillbillyinvite.com)

Historically it's always in June with sign ups starting in Jan/Feb.

@ Atchman - This year has seen an odd influx of players due to the GW GT schedule (or lack thereof).  I don't believe Roy has ever had to turn any players away before.  There's usually a wait list but there have always been cancellations.  The Hollidays run a pretty good event in Florida.  Not the right locale for me but I've only heard nice things about it.

@ Senor D - Do you know the HoustonFB crowd that runs the Bayou Battles: Rebellion Indy GT (July 16-17, 2005)? Most of the Indy GTs don't require painted miniatures (the Necro being one of the exceptions).

Perhaps this is a foolish response. The name of the event suggests that you need to be invited by the sponsors.
Am I correct on this?

The first year was the only time it was invite or referral only, and I think alot of that had to do with space and resources.

Has been open to all every year since then.

Actually, despite the title, it's an open event.

If I can get this new force painted in time......don't worry about me :)  From playing with the CoU army every week this month, I think you are the one that should be worrying.

BTW I did like the three hammer knight units/seven units of hunting hounds version.
