Knightly Order

Not sure if this is my place or not, but the issue of the knightly order is a bit of a topic now, and probably needs it's own thread so we can keep issues seperated.  If this is just clutter, please feel free to discard it.

There seems to be a tendancy to want a specific Order that is taking part in the campaign.  I've heard that we should start a new one, or stick with an already created Order, such as the Hunters of Sigmar.

The Hunters seem to fit in extremely well with the campaign.  Recently created (post SoC), they reside in the Drakwald as well, scurging the land of beastmen.  I throw my hat in for the Hunters as it makes sense for this order to be taking a huge role in this conflict.  I know that there may be issues of fluff down the road, and some are hesitant.

Anyway, throw your ideas in and we'll hammer something out! 8-)

Well done Wiss, I was thinking of doing this myself but would not have put the question as concisely and in such a balanced manner.

I would prefer a new order as that way GW are not going to allow some bit of fluff or BL book destroy all we try to create (chaos corruption of a knightly order etc.).

However if we are going for an existing order my 2 penneth and my hat would also be tossed in the ring for the Hunters of Sigmar.

Again, I'm pretty indifferent in what order we use. I'll throw my Karls to the Hunters of Sigmar, as it is simple and seems as though they are becoming a popular choice. :happy:

If we want a new order, how about 'The order of Sigmar's Eye'? An order called into life after the crowning of Magnus, the first emperor to respect magic instead of hunt it down and kill it. He would have set up some kind of order to find magical and religious artefacts. It would make sense that, after the Great War against Chaos, Magnus went about to find magical artefacts to use against Chaos.
I don't know about the Hunters, simply because I've never heard of them before :icon_razz:. Might be exactly what I described, might be even better. So I'll step off the soap box and leave you guys to it :icon_wink:.
