space marines in the warhammer world in 2009

I was listening to some warhammer podcast the other day and I believe I heard them mention that the next big campaign by GW is going to be Space marines coming to the warhammer world through a gate or something and fighting with the warhammer world forces, and that whichever race does the most to help kill the marines will get artifacts left behind by the marines added to their list.  Please tell me that this is not so, if it is true what can we do to change that, I dont feel like facing a high elf prince who is holding a bolter or using a laser cannon.  I mean some of their things just are not too well thought out so hopefully this is just a rumor.  Does anyone out there have more info?  steveb

well i spoke to a man at warhammer world and he said there might be plans for such a thing to coincide with the new sm release but these items will only be able to be used in the campaign cos outside of it the warhammer world would collapse

Slow Painter:
Campaign only or not, that would probably be the stupidest idea of all time. It might make me sell all my GW stuff and take up a new hobby, like playing the ukulele.

same here m8 but its probz a marketing scam to get 40k players into fantasy ( these knights killed your chaplain spend money now )
