Forget the Orc...the crazy artist model is way "kewler". Looks like a "Blood On The Reik" collector's fest awaits!

Some of those Empire models look very Kislev, mainly the bear and the guy with the machete next to the bear.
Don't hug me I'm British, we only show affection to dogs and horses.

I read somewhere else that the guy with the machete is indeed a Kislevite hunter.

Am I the only one who noticed the Blood Bowl Human Blocker?

Yet more awesome Collectors Edition models? My wallet is crying!

Oh, and the 'Elf merchant' guy looks zombie to me now that we have a close-up...

This is great stuff! Are they working on a new release for Blood Bowl?

Anyone figured out yet what the purpose of those fantasy characters are for yet (other than being simply cool)? I can think of a wide range of uses for them. They were discussed a while back in a thread in Paint & Brush, but i don't think a definite conclusion was ever reached.

I was at gamesday and saw about 10 figures based upon the drawings in 'Blood on the Reik'

Also saw two new empire captains on foot.

One was still on it's greenstuff stage, the other was already cast & looked like the general picture in the Empire army book.

Cant wait for these to come out.

The fat merchant again! Will he ever be released?

Yes. When Fanatic was suspended, they said they'd be redoing all specialist games and that Blood Bowl is first on the list. Appearantly they're also planning to support them when out (WD/website articles etc), unlike the current situation.

This is the first time ever that I've sat here, staring at the screen, my mouth wide open and my eyes desperately looking for something to make the model imperfect. I couldn't find it.

That 'Empire Captain' is simply perfect. I've just re-found my faith in Games Workshop.

It certainly does.

The first pic is not really spectaular, the second is (I guess) a Bret character (I think I saw some fleur de lys), but that third pic - wow, got to get me one of those. Not that I'll ever use a captain on foot probably, but I could use it as an elector, or concert it to a BSB... It's a very nice model indeed.

Cons:
- The sword of the first model looks too wide, and the hilt doesn't entirely fit the style.
- The third model has the hammer in a weird position. It is supposed to be resting on its shoulder, I guess, but it's not close enough to the neck for that in my eyes.
- Some of the Handgunners are in serious need of puffy sleeves.

Pros:
- Except for the sword, the first model is very good. Characterfull details, nice pose. Will get one.
- The third one - now this is how an empire model is supposed to look like! Could be Frundsberg himself, with all the puffyness and that scruffy soldier look. Will get one.
- Puffy sleeves are back, yay! Might even get the Handgunners. Definite improvement over the plastic monkeys.

Wow!  I've found reason to finally upgrade my 6th ed models.  Those are simply fantastic.  I was very disappointed with the new range until they added the general / pistoliers / wizard kits.  Look like they're building on those concepts.  No silly poses either.
